Washington D.C. native, Wale, has been making quite a name for himself this past year with his song being featured on HBO’s hit show, Entourage, an URB magazine cover, and being named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 8 people to watch for in 2008. The rapper/sneakerhead released his D.C. anthem, Nike Boots, conveniently also featured on the Nike website, and since has released the Remix to the hit single featuring who else but…Lil Wayne.
Sneakernews has been blessed to feature a few pairs of special “Nike Boots” that Wale was given. The Air Max 90 Boots, Goadomes, and Seamless Goadomes feature a Wale logo on various parts of the respective boots.
While not shopping for new kicks or touring with Mark Ronson, Wale can be found answering his fans via his MySpace page. Big things are on the horizon for the rapper who Rolling Stone dubbed as having “more cross over appeal than weed”; with a major record label deal almost wrapped up and a soon to hit MTV music video, you can expect a whole lot more from Wale in 2008.
