Nike is back at it again this time re-releasing a mash up of older styles with newer ones and their technology; hence a slightly changed release of the Zoom Air Trainer 1 for those that do not remember it, vivid there is a resemblance to the Air Trainer 1 being thrown together with a free inspired midsole, and a training outsole. This time years release pays homage to John McEnroe who appears on the tongue of the sneaker; who was notorious for bringing the “Trainer” to the tennis courts. The pictured colorway is inspired by the Air Trainer 1’s classic “chlorophyll” colorway and is expected to hit Tennis accounts in their Fall08 shipments which means it will see its way to shops around August, and best of all it is easy on the wallets with a retail price of $80.00.

That’s not a new shoe at all. It’s the exact same shoe as the Zoom Trainer 1 except that these have the pic of McEnroe and they’re waaay cheaper than the originals

As soon as I saw them, I instantly thought of the Zoom Trainer 1, which was a shoe I desperately tried to get my hands on. I will literally but five or six pairs of these and at a pricepoint of 80 dollars, maybe more!

These shoes are absotutely the best fitting of any of the “cross training” shoes Nike has offered over the years. I have had several pair, selling and trading them as well as wearing them. I’m delighted to see they will be offered in a retro again this fall. I can’t wait as I’ll be sure to grab a few pair and hang on to them forever.

They have been released to the public. The reason they are cheaper than the previous version of the Air Zoom Trainer is they are not made of full grain leather. They are a synthetic leather upper, unfortunately.
