New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul is the newest member of the elite group of athletes sponsored by Jordan Brand. With membership comes respect in the form of his own signature shoe called the CP3 dropping March 2008. The CP3 takes inspiration from New Orleans Mardi Gras Indians and bowling (!?), CP is a hardcore bowler for those of you who don’t know, on the shoe the ankles were designed to emulate bowling pins. In the back heel of the shoe you will find “61xty” written out vertically. This pays respect to Chris Pauls grand father who was killed at the age of 61, CP scored 61 points a few days later in a High School basketball game and walked off the court not scoring another point as a tribute to his late grandfather. Filled with emotion and strength, the CP3 is sure to have an impact on Chis Paul’s game and yours as well. Look for it this coming March 1st 2008. Photos by: edtrigger // Kenlu

Im an avid Chris Paul fan, I like his game and I pattern mine with his. The shoe design really fits the way plays. It’s a combination of technology, passion and love and nothing comes close that. He’s a real inspiration to me, I lost my grandfather too, before my first game in a league, I didn’t score 61 points but I sure did well and I hit the final basket to put us 2 points ahead in the final seconds of the quater..
