Originally introduced in 1970, the adidas Americana changed court shoe style permanently, with a perfect balance of then-groundbreaking performance and influential aesthetics. For decades, collectors have admired the OG low-cut take, with a more minimal look than the high top variation.
Mixing mesh with leather, plus felt stripes and a heel panel, the ABA (American Basketball Association, of which the Americana was the official shoe) red and blue combination remains timeless for this resurrection of a slimline, lightweight classic that harks back to the French made original.
To complement this seminal design’s return, the Americana Low OG also comes in a reflective snakeskin effect, blended with premium suede for a striking, contemporary interpretation of this silhouette. Both shoes will be dropping exclusively at O-Stores soon.
