Last month we profiled the first Nike sneaker celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, the Nike Air Woven. This month is the release of the second sneaker made to commemorate the ancient Chinese Festival, the Nike Air Footscpae Woven. The Dragon Boat event honors ancient Chinese official Wut Yuen who commited suicide by drowning himself in a river after learning he had lost a vital battle. Mourining village people sailed the river while beating drums to scare fish and prevent them from eating the body of their beloved official. This commemorative sneaker features a blue, red, and orange weave with the section above being black and the section below, including the midsole, being white. The outsole of the sneaker is red. This Footscape along with the Air Woven are both Asia exclusives but available now at RMK Store which ships internationally. Also look for them on eBay soon.
