It’s hard for modern sneakerheads to envision a day where Tinker Hatfield wasn’t the goliath in the shoe design industry that he is today. However, just like every other designer out there, Mr. Hatfield had to start somewhere. In the spirit of encouraging up-and-coming industry talent, Nike sponsored the Future Sole Design Competition, in which amazing young designers took stabs at designing the next generation of Nike shoes. The initial field was eventually narrowed down to two finalists, Ben Adams-Keane of Massachusetts and Juan Carlos Pozo of Florida. Adams-Keane created the Air Force Adapt, a shoe based on the Finch bird, while Pozo created the Air Flight Comanche, based upon the attack helicopter of the same name. With solid designs like these, and an upcoming meeting with Tinker Hatfield himself, expect Ben and Juan to go far in the design world. Via Hypebeast and Sole Collector.

The all white ones look just like the Sharley’s. so even though it looks soso, not enough creativity for a supposed designer tryin to make it big with nike. The comanche’s however…… are fuckin sick! i cant believe that kid came up with those. now he has got a future and i want those kicks.

the comanches are nice. the adapt, on the other hand, looks like a messed-up version of the air sharkley

those comanches are nice, with such a cool logo like the swish that nike has – its about time that they came out with a style like that where it come around and swoops in front. the other ones… ehhh … they look EXACTLY like the sharkleys from this year… these would be on an outlet shelf for about $39.99 two months after release date

Mr. Pozo has something here: with the current design, if he made the swoosh more visible, along with having the bottom soles sort of transparent glow look(LIGHT UP!) and a strap around the top oh man…he just made a new version of the McFly Mags! DO IT!! DO IT!! DO IT!!
In fact give this boy a chance to do so and this kid will be a millonaire before you know it…Nice job to Juan…as the for the other kid. The shoe does look like something we saw already. I wouldn’t buy it…but hey he’s one of two finalist so he did something right…lolol…
