adidas Originals and Upper Playground follows up last weeks Herbert Baglione sneaker with a new Stan Smith colorway designed by artist David Choe. Best known for his murals and sometimes for this graffiti, you can also find a number of David Choe products including tee-shirts, toys and now his own sneaker from adidas. Here’s what he has to say about the inspiration for his sneakers “I wanted to convey a mixture of serial killers, ninjas, nightmares and Ice-T lyrics.” Outside of three published books and a number of exhibitions, David Choe is the star of a feature documentary on his life called “Dirty Hands“. There are only 500 pairs of the Choe sneaker available worldwide. Sizes range from men’s size 4 to 13.5. To pick up your fresh pair of David Choe Stan Smith sneakers, visit upperplayground.com or head to a UP retail store. The sneaker will go on sale online at 8 am PT on Thursday, July 24, 2008.
