The Dunk is definitely one of the cornerstones of Nike’s product lineup these days. With classic styling and more-often-than-not solid colorways, the Dunk has definitely become a driving force in the sneaker market. However, in the spirit of spicing things up a bit, Nike will be releasing this interesting “Octodot” pattern of the Dunk High, which is definitely something interesting. Although the pack itself has been lightly previewed before, these pictures definitely show an interesting take on the old Dunk. With a one-piece construction, and the aforementioned dot pattern being created by intersecting white lines across the outside of the shoe, these kicks, while maybe not for everyone, are definitely bound to spark some discussion in the sneaker industry, as they’re something that’s pretty original. The concept of dot-covered outers has been done before, but this time, Nike’s moving into the one-piece category gives these Dunk Highs a definite personality of their own. Available at Nike Tier 0 accounts starting 8/8/08 including the Rivington Club who already have them for sale.

Wierdly-fresh pair of [seamless] dunks, wit a comic book feel — copped the yellow/green colourway, love ‘em.
