Nike Sportswear Official Announcement

Today is the big day for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, to commemorate the athlete competition and its commitment in sports- Nike Sportswear launched a dozen unique short term retail installations. These spaces are designed to give consumers a unique experience with the brand and to act as hubs for Nike in each respective city, mixing sports and the creative community. The pop-up stores remain open from 30 to 60 days and offer consumers a mix of Nike Sportswear product, in Paris, the store is located on a boat moored in the Quai Henry IV. In London, a 290-square meter (3,000 square feet) space has been selected in the area where athletes will compete in 2012. In Los Angeles, at The Montalbán, a historic theatre in Hollywood. These retail installations provide the world a sneak preview to the launch of the first stand-alone Nike Sportswear store at 21 Mercer Street in NY later this month, which launches with a special event on August 21st.
