The ‘L’ in the aZX alphabet, Livestock’s considered approach to retail shines through on the clean lines of the adidas ZX 450. Military styling meets minimalism, with an olive green suede heel and a perforated white leather paneling towards the forefoot, making for a striking clash of shades. Beyond the leathers employed, canvas stripes and a nylon toebox offer extra rugged textures, and the yellow footbed, with its sewn-on patch and a detachable Velcro application on the tongue, beneath the lacing – an unexpected surprise, are perfect examples of unobtrusive but welcome attention-to-detail that embellish this design perfectly. The second round of the AZX project including this Livestock collaboration drops in September at adidas Consortium retailers.
