The Olympics closed this weekend after three weeks of competition for the worlds best, the Jordan Olympian debuted at the Olympics but will live in Brand Jordan’s catalog. The Jordan Olympia was designed for the participating Team Jordan athletes to wear during the Games. The numbers 92-96-04-08 are engraved in the outsole of the shoe to commemorate the years Team Jordan athletes have competed in the Olympic Games. This would include Michael Jordan as part of the 1992 “Dream Team” in Barcelona and does not include MJ’s Olympic gold in the 1984 Olympics as “Brand Jordan” was not yet created. The inclusion of facts on the outsole is very similar to the Air Jordan X, which serves as the main inspiration for the Jordan Olympia.
