Nike All Court Hispanic Heritage Month

Year after year there are a number of Nike shoes created to celebrate Chinese New Year’s as well as Black History Month, yet to date there has yet to be one memorable shoe from the Swoosh that looked to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, that is until now. Nike designer, Kiki McGehee looked to create one of the first shoes to celebrate HHM and the shoe she decided on was the Nike All Court, a shoe that resembles the Blazer Mid in some degrees. The design of the shoe is about as creative as they get as McGehee used piteado, a Latin weaving technique that is used, additionally the word “Pride” is screened onto the upper of the shoes in a font inspired by the low rider culture. These shoes as dope as they are unfortunately will not make it to retail however there will be some HHM t-shirts inspired by the shoe that feature the same graphics sold at retail at select Warehouse Shoe Sale retailers within Los Angeles. via Evil Monito
