Seitan is a vegetarian meat-substitute made from the gluten in whole wheat flour. With this definition in mind, can anyone tell us why these beautiful ALIFE Everybody Highs are called “Seitan”? Unconventional naming aside, this has the look of a solid effort from a company that’s been building some solid momentum this season. The light and dark brown pairs here are subject to an inconsistent dying process, so each shoe is unique. You’ll find a bigger pic of each after the jump, and you can cop em now at Mita Sneakers and other ALIFE retailers.

They are named “Seitan” probably because the colors resemble the color of the food itself. But for the record, Seitan tastes awful haha. Nice colorway though.

they are called “seitan” cause the shoes are made from vegan materials.
