Almost every NBA fan knows the name Grant Hill. The well-known guard, who currently plays for the Suns, and is arguably bet known for his performance on the Pistons from 1994 to 2000, has been in the game for about 14 years and, despite a ton of injuries, has remained a top-notch baller throughout the years.
When he was playing for the Pistons, Grant Hill debuted the Fila 96, unofficially known as the Grant Hills, which was the shoe he wore when he played Michael Jordan’s Bulls. Fila is preparing to re-release these dope basketball shoes in the upcoming months, but has allowed Reed Space to drop them a little earlier. Above is a preview pic of what the current model will look like. Since it is mostly a silhouette there is not much we can say about the colorway or materials, but it looks like it will definitely be a dope shoe. No word yet as far as an official release date, but as always, we will keep you posted. via todarrinhudson

Finish Line has these already. Two words… THEY’RE FILA! Disgusting. For an endless supply of money, I wouldn’t dare put Fila on, I don’t care what Nas has said about when he was coming up in the QB that dudes were only wearing Fila, as the AF1 wasn’t around in the late 1980s and that it was Puma, Fila or Adidas. I’d rather walk on broken glass, barefoot for the rest of my life than have Fila on my feet. Which is odd because I love my grandfather’s country, Italy, and Fila started in 1911 by the Fila brothers, but I cannot have pride for this brand, ever. Shits weak.

yeah, sorry to spoil the news, but as somebody above stated, those aren’t the Fila 96’s that Grant Hill has on in the pic. and they WERE officially known as the Grant Hills back then, i still have my OG box. what Grant has on in that pic is the GH4’s. he stopped rockin the Fila 96’s after the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. the GH4’s didn’t come out until fall of 97.
