For Nike’s latest “collaboration”, the Nike Innovation Kitchen didn’t collaborate with a well known influencer or clothing line but instead two die hard Nike Air Force 1 collectors, Kevin Hunter and Mayor. DJ Clark Kent, who is arguably the King of AF1’s, presented the two collectors each with their very own 1 of 1 Air Force 1 from the Nike Innovation Kitchen, complete with a personalized wooden box. For Kevin Hunter’s pair the Nike Innovation Kitchen looked to his Bentley for inspiration for both the shoe and box, the shoe itself matches up with his Bentley from the exterior to the interior while the box is made up of the same wood grain that the Bentley dashboard is made of. For Mayor, his AF1 had a bit more sentimental meaning to them as this was his 1000th pair of shoes in his collection, thus the “Kitchen” came up with the idea of lasering exactly 1,000 1’s on his pair to give it a special meaning of Air Force 1. via 21 Mercer Blog

Team Pullin – A few things: 1. Neither one of the dudes who received the shoes designed their own. The shoe was a gift from the iK. 2. The reason the shoe shape is off is because they are damn near hand constructed and built on the old last. Totally opposite of the shoes constructed in the factory.
