Two years, two hundred and seventy days. That’s the amount of days required if The Mayor were to wear each and every one of his 1000 pairs of Air Force 1s. There are many types of collectors, many of whom like to keep their sneakers in their original boxes. The Mayor, except for freshly purchased sneakers, does not keep a single box to store his collection. Instead he’s replaced each with a clear shoe box from the Container Store, keeping everything visible and neatly stored. Recently we stopped by and decided to see for ourselves this amazing collection and photograph it for an interview on Freshness and a collection feature on Sneaker News. Below are photos of a few rare sneakers and as well as a small part of the Mayors Nike iD collection.
On November 15th, DJ Clark Kent presented The Mayor with the above Air Force 1 personalized for The Mayor celebration his 1000th pair. There are a total of 1000 1s on the pair.

Every AF1 MAYOR has is better than the ones they made to commemerate his 1000th. pair…smh..they could’ve done WAY better for him!!!..I just hope they don’t do him dirty for his 2000th. pair.

Think about it, he’s spent roughly $100 on average per pair. Most likely more b/c he’s got customs. He’s probably spent 100k just on sneakers. Not counting the several thousand he’s spent on containers and setting up that room.
That’s excessive for kicks.

I read the interview.
First off let me say, way before all these little wanna be skater heads and wanna be kanye west and pharell and whomever was out there. I was waiting on line for those sought after kicks for myself, then the RESELL game came in effect and messed it up for alot of people, including myself.
To all those guys out there you need to jocking MOCKING COPYING RAP ARTISTS and be original, SOHO used to be a good place, now its fell apart with hoodrats and wanna be skaters, shaking my head at the game!!!!
