We’ve shown you plenty of previews of the Nike x Michael Lau Air Force 1 and now we have some updated information on this collaboration as well as some details behind the inspiration for the shoe and the shoe itself. This marks the ninth shoe from the Nike 1World Air Force 1 collaboration project, leaving us with nine more to go as the entire 1World collaboration project consists of 18 Air Force 1’s. Nike and Michael Lau worked on this Air “Crazy” Force 1 and the result is this beautiful, intricate, and artistic Air Force 1. Michael Lau looked to a psychiatric ward for inspiration which led to the use of a padded White leather for the entire shoe’s upper which also includes a quilted leather cross stitched pattern on top of the padded leather. Additionally the shoe features dubraes (lace locks) that read “Crazy” on the left shoe and “Smiles” on the right shoe, those of you who know about Michael Lau, know that his toy production company is Crazysmiles. Some other features include a removable insole with a pencil scribbled design, 5 five count scrawls on the heel of each shoe to commemorate the Air Force 1’s 25th anniversary, and “10190330″ on the tongue of the shoe which is also Michael’s lucky number. The last and most important piece of this 1World Air Force 1 is the box that it comes in as well as the vinyl toy that Michael specially created for this Air Force 1. The box comes nicely packaged with the quilted pattern found on the upper of the shoes printed on the outside of the box while on the inside you can find the Air “Crazy” Force 1 along with a special “Crazy Michael” vinyl toy.
