It’s clear in looking at any pair of Greedy Genius Apaches that they’re inspired by early 90′s basketball shoes, especially the earlier Air Jordans. With this release, they’ve managed to capture that era’s feel by aping a colourway that originated on MJ’s seventh signature sneaker.
At first glance, savvy sneakerheads will likely exclaim “Raptors!” in reference to the original Air Jordan VII, the first shoe to feature this colour combination back in 1991. Another classic Jordan fabric, black patent leather, and the addition of a sandy brown on the side panels bring a modern mix to the classic palate. Cop em at Finishline.com and at other GNS retailers this week. Via HB
