Here are a few new Nike runners, and while the only apparent common ground for all of them is a visible Air sole in a running shoe, this “pack” includes some gems.

We get three pairs of Air Max 1s, one Air Classic BW and a new colorway of the coveted Air Structure Triax 91 (*note that some other sources have referred to this release as Air STAB, but that model is missing from this collection).

Two of the 1s feature several differnt sizes of cheetah print, but the heavy use of black, white and silver balances each pair nicely.  The remaining Air Max 1 is hewn in deep purple, magenta and lime green.  While it’s not as subdued as the other releases in this “pack” and doesn’t follow Nike’s general trend toward subtle colours, it does employ nylon along with leather on the upper, so we’re inclined to think they’re another example of the trend — 2009 is shaping up to be “The Year of Nylon.”

Rounding out the set are a pink and black Air Max BW (we’re not sure yet if this is a WMNS release, but it sure looks like it), and the aforementioned Triax 91.  The Triaxes are done in rich brown with grey/white grid patterned fabric inserts on the upper and a cracked cement (not quite concrete as we’ve come to know it) midsole.  Add rich kelly green on the swoosh and dark blue laces, and this is a great look for cold weather.
