New Balance and UNDFTD hooked up on this H574J which is a hybrid shoe between the H710, a shoe created by American climber Lou Whittaker and New Balance in 1982 that performed like a hiking boot yet it was much lighter and nimble than the other hiking boots of that generation, and the M574, which is one of New Balance’s most well received cushioning running shoes of all time.The H574J collaboration with UNDFTD takes from a Man vs Wild theme because the shoe has both the ruggedness of the outdoors and cushioning/lightness. The two different colorways of this collaboration H574J utilize various outdoor themes and colors in addition to the Discovery Channel Show, Man vs Wild. An Olive Green color is used on one of the shoes that adds to a military aspect that “exemplifies the struggle for survival that is so prevalent on [Man vs Wild]”. The shoes will drop at UNDFTD Japan and select UNDFTD retailers on Saturday, December 20th.More photos below…
