In what may be their simplest skate shoe yet, Nike has taken it back to basics with the Drifter 6.0. Quite possibly inspired by some classic Vans models, the Drifter takes that old school look, but modernizes it with a few choice touches. The most noticeable of which is the stitching on the upper and the scribble graphics on the tongue and heel. The shoe also utilizes a suede upper and striped vulcanized midsole and comes with some very cool patterned laces. The Drifter will be available in three colorways for starters. Black/glass blue/red, pine/white and orion blue/purple versions will be available sometime in Fall ‘09 at Vagant and other select retailers.
