Etnies x Disney Co:Labs

Etnies and Disney, two titans in their respective fields, have come together to collaborate on a new project. The Etnies x Disney Co:Labs initiative will launch with a four pack of sneakers featuring beloved Disney characters and imagery. For men, there will be four different styles available. The high-top Upsetter and low-top Sly will each come in both brown and grey/purple colorways with visions of Mickey Mouse and Fantasia gracing the uppers. Nike Blazer High Premium Hoosiers

By now, you’ve probably already seen the White Men Can’t Jump and Teen Wolf installments of the Nike Media Pack. Completing the trilogy, the Nike Blazer will pay respect to the Oscar-winning film, Hoosiers. The 1986 movie, starring Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper, told the emotional and inspiring story of a small-town high school basketball team and its coaches overcoming adversity in 1950′s Indiana.

With its old-school basketball style, the Blazer was the perfect choice to represent the Hickory Huskers’ red and gold uniforms and the black sole is a nice step towards balancing vintage with contemporary. The Blazer has been getting a ton of new looks lately and it looks like these will be among the best. A basketball movie themed Nike pack would not have been complete without a tribute to one of the greatest sports movies of all time. Available now at House of Hoops and coming soon to Osneaker.

Bread & Butter Winter 2009 New Balance 1500 Fall 09

Fresh out of this year’s Bread & Butter tradeshow comes some previews of the New Balance Fall 2009 line up. The pick of the litter appears to be a 1500′s pack, consisting of 4 slick new colorways. The white/beige and white/navy versions convey that classic conservative New Balance feel, while the black/lime and black/purple are a bit wilder. All 4 seem to feature a combination of suede, mesh and smooth leather. If you like what you see, keep an eye out this fall at select New Balance dealers.
