The Nike Foamposite Lite has been released in select General Release (GR) colorways already and now it’s time for various Player Exclusive (PE) colorways to start hitting select Nike Basketball retailers such as the Nike x Footlocker House of Hoops locations. The newest PE of the Foamposite Lite to hit is this Caron Butler Away PE in Black and Copper with a hint of some Wizards Blue in there as well. The shoe is predominantly Black while it’s still accented with enough of the Wizards Blue and Copper colors. The shoe’s tongue features Butler’s nickname, “3D”. While the Wizards keep losing, at least their star Small Forward will look good on the court with these on. via solezprogression // Niketalk

The creme de la creme from Off the Wall, the Authentic and Sk8-Hi models are Vans’ bread and butter. Defying all culinary analogies, these joints still look delicious in royal blue and white. The look is simple and effective, especially when paired with the checkerboard lining and insoles. This is exactly the kind of quality we’ve come to expect from both Vans and in a colourway that makes us think of Colette, it makes sense to find both at their online store.

When we first showed you the Spring 2009 Nike SB Colleciton last July, and into November when we found more pictures of this model, we knew they were set for Q1, but when? And where? The answers are “soon” and “you’ll be lucky to find a pair.” Dropping next month as a quickstrike, we are reminded of the other denim pair we showed you during Turkey month. You should start to expect more hype for these over the next couple of weeks, and you know we’ll have more shots and info where to cop here at Sneaker News. Gracias, Colmilludo

On November 9th, 1993, A Tribe Called Quest released their acclaimed third album Midnight Marauders to critical and commercial success. The album art on the other hand has inspired many of today’s apparel designers who’s used the head shots of hip hop luminaries and radio DJ’s while others has used the tribal black, red and green figure and pattern in their designs. Jordan Brand will be the first to take that inspiration in to a production sneaker design by applying black, red and green pattern on their Air Jordan 1 1 High Strap sneaker. Although officially called the Air Jordan I Retro High Strap “Sole to Sole”, many are nicknaming them A Tribe Called Quest Air Jordan 1 or Midnight Marauders Air Jordan 1. This colorway will be very limited as they will be limited to 24 pairs per account and only to select urban accounts. No official date yet but will be sometime in February 2009. The end of 2008 was an extremely busy time for Jordan Brand where they released hot kicks almost on a weekly basis. Most of those hot kicks were mostly for men, and among them was a ‘bred’ Air Jordan 1 Strap in the classic white, black, red colors. This month, the ladies will be able to take part in the Air Jordan 1 High with an exclusive colorway of their own. This Air Jordan 1 High Strap features an entirely purple nylon upper with a white midsole and purple outsole. The removable strap also features a bit of white and another nice detail is the ornate lacelock. Via Vault

Airwalk has, until this point, been known as one of the icons of the 90′s skate scene. If not *the* major player, they were sufficiently important during that time that you’d hear the Freudian “Nike Airwalk” around the uninformed. It looks like, alongside all of the other skateboarding shoe companies, Airwalk is taking a step to the left with some more casual looks.
Our friends at Freshness noted that this trend has been ongoing for some time now, and since everyone loves a good chukka, the classic Desert Boot is a good place to start. A brown suede chukka boot with a deeply-ridged sole, the classic Airwalk logo appears on the outside ankel of either shoe. These are releasing this year, and we’ll let you know exactly when.

The SECK MT is back from Asics’ Onitsuka Tiger label, this time avoiding flashy colourways in favor of something subdued for spring. The low-profile ’70s-era basketballer returns in simple two-tone designs: white with blue accents and a red pair with white accents. We found the blue joints at ripe, but the red ones are AWOL. Leave us a comment if you can find ‘em

We all know that blood helps to indirectly ventilate the body, circulating oxygen and other nutrients and facilitating waste removal. Ventilators, these are not, but they’re splashed with blood in one of the more clever Valentines Day do-ups we’ve ever seen.
The Reebok Dual Pump Runner appears as a grey leather lowtop with a splash of shiny red on the inside of both shoes. When you get to tell your friends the story of how you stood toe-to-toe with Al Capone at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, they’ll either think you’re really *gangsta*, or at least appreciate you for being thoughtful enough to not be rockin’ yet another heart-covered pink pair. Hypequest reported that these are already out, but a fair amount of time spent searching yielded no results. Presumably, they’ll drop before V-Day, so we’ll keep you posted with updates over the next 3-4 weeks.

With a few well placed collaborations in addition to some solid designs from within, DC Shoes has increased their visibility in the streetwear and sneakerhead circles. A part of the DC Life Collection, the Battleship Pack includes a Sector 7 and the super-highcut and appropriately dubbed Admiral. Both are stunning in grey suede (solid and two different gauges of perforation), faux-woven black toes and a shade of teal a tad bluer than Tiffany. The Sector 7 is cut low with a nice heel pad to prevent blistering, while the Admiral stands high above (with?) the crowd (think Skytop, Yeezy). Take a look at both after the jump, then cop em at Outnumber and other select DC Life accounts. Via SneakerFreaker

It’s been a tad over a week, and just like Manny Ramirez, Reebok has taken the Ventilator from Boston to California. Fresh off the Blue Blood/Purple Heart Pack designed by Beantown bastions Karmaloop, RBK is bringing us another set of their best-known runner. Bay Area beatmakers Quannum Records cranked out four different pairs here, all solid colourways. This seems fitting; the Ventilator is to the Pump as DJ Shadow’s Brainfreeze is to the seminal Endtroducing: the latter is more popular, but the former is probably dearer to the heart of the street.
For an interesting twist, the proceeds will benefit the Moms Against Poverty orphanages in war-ravaged Darfur. Sometimes, especially considering the global economic crisis, things like Bape x Tempur pillowcases lose their meaning, so it’s nice to see a collaboration that showcase’s the positive effects of hip-hop/”street” culture on the world both here in the States and abroad. Check out other pics of these four styles and then cop em from Shoe Biz. Via HB
