Japanese fashion brand SOPHNET. (owned by Hirofumi Kiyonaga) is marking their 10th anniversary with a number of celebratory releases including a collaboration with Converse. The weapon of choice for this collaboration is the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi, dubbing the shoe the SOPHNET. Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi. Taking cues from the original Chuck Taylor, the SOPHNET. Chuck Taylor Hi consists of the classic white sole with a black, canvas upper, but with an added twist. The SOPHNET. edition of the Chuck Taylor features zippered access on the side, which definitely gives this shoe a different flavor than your standard Chuck Taylor. Look for these special edition shoes at SOPHNET. retailers come mid-February. via Freshness

LeBron James’ ritualistic tossing of talcum is sufficiently well-known that Nike saw fit to make it central in their commercials for the sixth LBJ signature shoe. As the campaign rolls on, we have seen many different takes on the Zoom Lebron VI, reaching far beyond the typical home/away/playoffs model. Among these inventive colourways is one commemorating Bron-Bron’s pregame pattern.
Long Beach legends Proper have issued notice that they have the “Chalk” edition Zoom Lebron VI. As we showed you back in December, this shoe features a navy blue upper, blonde woodgrain midsole and a design of none other than LeBron himself stretching his arms beneath a cloud of chalk. Proper’s email offering suggests they’re waiting for you with open arms now, but since the store is closed and they don’t offer products online at the moment, your best bet is their brick and mortar in LBC on Monday morning.

No word yet on U.S. availability, but you can get your hands on these right now at Purchaze.

Earlier today it was a Dunk we showed you as a signature piece of Nike Sportswear’s Spring 2009 collection. If there’s one shoe even more omnipresent, it’s the Air Force 1, so it’s no shock to see the iconic model as a part of this same collection.
There’s a black lowtop that has a reptile print on the rear quarter/heel and orange Swoosh, laces and sole for a Halloweeny look and a white hightop that features a couple different textures of leatherand a red stripe on the midsole for subtle contrasts. Whether you think the first is as excellent as the latter will be up for you to decide when these release to NSW’s webstore soon. As of the writing of this post, the Nike Sporstwear site teases the option to buy the depicted shoes, but redirects to a page where they cannot be found. We’re going to keep an eye on this for you, and feel free to leave a comment if you notice the stock update.

Nike Sportswear’s Air Max 90 Current Moire is getting a ton of hype, and with good reason. The Air Max 90 is one of the finest sneakers we’ve ever seen, and the irregular perforation on these colourblocked reimaginations makes for a welcome update. The grey and black models have been all over the internet, but NSW reminded us that they’re not giving up the original silhouette in showing this new release.
Like the Moire, this deep red 90 is a key part of the Spring 2009 from Nike’s upscale streetwear division. Entirely colourblocked, save the white ankle, laces and midsole, they’re bold overwhealming the eye and will be available as soon as NSW’s website updates their stock.

We showed you a picture of these back in December alongside nearly a dozen more Dunks from the ACG Safari Pack, and now Nike Sportswear has shown us a few other shots. These joints feature a vivid purple suede upper complimented with tonal safari print on the toe and eyelets. Throw in bright laces and a gum sole, and NSW has something royal here that you can wear without being “that guy with purple shoes”. They’ll be ready soon at the NSW online store, among other locations.

When the package arrived at Solebox, the crew must have thought someone at Puma had sent them a new file cabinet. To their surprise, the box actually contained a size UK 45 black on black Puma Clyde, a New Year’s gift given out to a small group of select retailers. Complete with the extra large Puma box and paper, this big cat makes for an amazing collector’s item, sure to be prominently displayed by anyone lucky enough to get one. Notice the way the king-size Clyde dwarfs the other sneaker in the picture above. via Solebox.

U.S. sneakerheads will be frustrated to learn that the newest, and perhaps most enticing colorway of the Air Max Skyline is rumored to be a Europe exclusive. With its retro look and the Air Max nostalgia factor, the Skyline is quickly becoming a new favorite and has never looked better. The black/white/photo blue/vivid pink combination pops off the screen, leaving collectors in the states hopeful to eventually get a look in person. No word yet on a U.S. release, but you can get them from across the pond now at Purchaze.

We’ve already seen a bunch of Air Max 90s are looking good for ’09, and while having a glimpse into the future is great, the certainty of knowing these are set to drop in April is even better. Approaching the start of it’s third decade of work, fresh new releases like these show Nike Sportswear’s dedication to perfecting the Swoosh’s best designs.
Both of these are simple, with one in white and black and the other contrasting lime green with a very light grey. On each, the ankle fades from the contrast colour to the base colour along the same hexagonally-patterned nylon that we see in the solid base colour on the toes. We’re expecting these at NSW’s website on April Fool’s Day; for reals. Via SoleBLVD

Last week, we gave you a preview of the Tier 0 Air Force 1 for the 2009 NBA All Star Game designed by DJ Clark Kent, the above is the Quickstrike Nike Air Force 1 for the All Star Game 2009 also designed by DJ CK. The colors are also inspired by the Phoenix Suns, this shoe swaps out the white leather for black in the front and uses a pebbled basketball textured leather on the mid and back panels. Both versions feature the words “East” and “West” on the right and left dubrae (lace locks) and inner soles to represent the two sides doing battle on February 15th. Like the pair we showed you last week, these are highlighted by a different specially designed set of laces by Starks. Expect to find them at Nike quickstrike locations around All Star Weekend. Thanks All Day for providing the shoes.
