The Air Structure Triax 91 which retroed for the first time during the Summer of 2008 has been a huge success for Nike with a variety of new colorways and the original colorways. The Nike Air Hoop Structure is a surprise to us as we’ve seen hybrids within categories but a cross category hybrid is fairly new. The Air Structure Triax 91 running sneaker has been turned into a basketball sneaker! The above colorway is very similar to the og Air Strcture Triax 91 in White Black Teal, but the teal is now aquamarine. There are a few more colors scheduled for Summer 2009 with the above dropping August 2009. Thanks Ice Sole.

For most of the past NBA All Star Games, Nike has commemorated the occasion with a special edition Air Force 1 that’s usually sold in the hosting city. This year, instead of Nike’s designer coloring up the design, DJ Clark Kent has stepped into the ASG Air Force 1 designer role. The colors are of course inspired by they host city’s own, the Phoenix Suns. On the upper, DJCK chose a lux tan nubuck for the front half with micro-perforations on on the toebox and side panels. The rest of the upper features a yellow perforated leather on the swoosh, tongue label and heel tab while the heel is a patent purple. The inner lining and to the midsole features orange while the outsole is a nice clean gum. The year “09″ is stitched on to the outer front side and the lace locks call out “East” on the right shoe and “West” on the left shoe. To finish out this nice package, DJ Clark Kent invited lace masters Starks to design a fitting set of laces for the 2009 All Star Game Air Force 1. Look for this ASG AF1 during this years All Star Game in Phoenix. Via Freshness

We used a picture of this colourway to showcase the unveiling immediately following our presentation of Nike’s Zoom Kobe IV unveiling webcast, but these are the first new shots we’ve seen since. A white shoe with a black Swoosh, heel/rear quarter and lining and purple sole-toe and laces, they’ll perfectly match the LA Lakers’ white jerseys. You’ll have your chance to rock these when they release next month at retailers like Dunk.com.cn

Nike and Puma have both reveled in red and gold, releasing several shoes to commemorate Chinese New Year. This Reebok Pump Omni Lite honoring the Year of the Ox might not get as much hype as the utterly breathtaking CLOT 1World Air Force 1 Supreme, they’re sure to turn heads. A black and red leather upper is spiced up with black graphics atop the red sections. The signature Omni Lite plastic wave is gold on either side, while a golden ox guards your heels. You can look at the other photos and then add em to your holiday collection at mita.

We’ve seen a ton of Reeboks that evoke their 1980′s heyday, but less often do we see them revisit the 90′s. At first glance, these seem similar to a “Miami Vice” pallate, but a closer look reveals the bright neon (not pastel) colourway reminiscent of alot of shoes we saw emerge around ’89. Featuring a reflective Reebok logo, the Inferno sports a white upper with tangerine and electric blue accents. A smooth ride on Hexalite, these joints are equipped with PLAY DRY technology so you can run in puddles, or whatever dudes used to during the grunge era. No matter the planned activity, you’ll find these early this year, and we’ll let you know exactly when once we know. Via NiceKicks

Back in the Fall of 2008 Kevin Durant’s first signature sneaker debuted with good reception and seems to be a highly anticipated basketball kick of 2009. This version of the Nike KD1 throws it make to Kevin Durant’s college days at University of Texas. The shoe is fairly simple with a burnt orange and black sole, which features a nice, soft cushion of Nike Zoom technology. The upper features a bascially one-piece construction of black, textured leather with burnt orange stitching and a white Swoosh accented with burnt orange. KD shouts out to his mother with a graphic on the inner of the tongue-tab and also throws some quotations and statistics on the sole (which might remind you of a certain shoe that is represented by the letter “X”). Stay tuned for the official release information of this beauty, and be sure to check out the rest of the pictures.
