Air Jordan III Inspired Slippers by Sneakers.FR

French sneaker site Sneakers.FR has been grinding it out for the French sneakerheads several years now, this past Christmas they created a fun project for their friends. They create a slipper based on the Air Jordan III Black Cement colorway. What has come out of it is an interesting slipper for the home that most Air Jordan fans can appreciate. Of course, you can take these out for a stroll around the park as well. Unfortunately, they are no longer available but was still nice to know about them. Via Individual Sole / Sneakers.fr

Puma Clyde Jet Set Chinese New Year
Photos: Kenlu

Almost all the major sneaker companies has realized the importance of the Chinese market, this year, almost all of them are putting out sneakers to celebrate the Chinese New Year which will fall on January 26th, 2009. Most other companies are putting out sneakers with colors, patterns and other images to represent the New Year, Puma is taking a much simpler approach. A set of Clydes has been designed, one black one and a white one with a simple pattern and gold details. Gold on the set represents good fortune but no word what the pattern in the heel represents, either way, the set are solid simple colorways. You can find them now at Puma retailers in Asia.

Nike Clogposite 2009 Retro

At the turn of the millennium, Nike did something totally unheard of and some might have even thought that it was a rogue Nike employee doing a DIY project. Well it was something like that, Nike took the Foamposite and chopped off a good part of the heel  and made the Foamposite into a slip-on clog. This was years ahead of Crocs, just so we can clear that up. Though not a rogue Nike employee, it was a special Nike product development group called the Nike Alpha Project which experimented with Nike models. In its origin, much of the project was noted with special boxes and a special five dotted code. Much of that has been phased out over the years but from what we heard, Alpha Project is still around. The above represents a black colorway but one of the most famous and sought after colorways was the digi-camo Clogposite. Nike, please take note and put out another hundred pairs of the Digi-Camo colorway. via chajinyoung

Update:
The status of the Nike Clogposite Retro is currently ‘canceled’. Maybe a quickstrike will pop up sometime later but the April 09 Black Clogposite is now canceled.

Reebok EX O FIT Hi J Strap LE Patent Leather

The latest EX-O-FIT hightops look pretty futuristic, so Reebok decided to take it a step further and modernize the 27 year old design with a midfoot strap.  Fittingly named EX-O-FIT Hi J Strap, these colourblocked burners are also ready for RBK’s spring collection.  We see black, violet, red and pink patent leather laid over identically hewn nylon for an effect that evokes the whole “Back to the Future” vibe.  Take a look at the detailed photos below, then head to mita for the best selection of Boks, J-Exclusive and otherwise.

 Reebok Freestyle High Stripes

Not to be outdone by its colourblocked cousins, the iconic Reebok Freestyle is back as part of a slew of strappy releases as part of the Spring 2009 collection.  Featuring thick coloured stripes alternating with white, these have the feel of an old barber shop or your grandpa’s favorite candy.  If that weren’t sweet enough, there are a quartet of shiny colourways, ensuring that you’ll never run out of flavor.  They may not have a true monopoly on hot RBK releases, but mita comes through yet again, allowing you to rest easy while they do all the legwork overseas.

Air Jordan XI (11) Cleat Deion Sanders PE Prime Time

Back in August 2008, we saw an Air Jordan XI Cleat specially designed for Warren Sapp, above is another special Air Jordan XI Cleat specially designed for NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders. While Deion Sanders is widely regarded as one of the best players in NFL history and perhaps the greatest cover cornerback to have ever played professional football, these cleats were for his baseball career. This is one rare piece of baseball and Dieon Sanders memorabilia so for you fans out there, check them out on osneaker.com.

Reebok EX O FIT Hi J LE Perforated

It looks like their most recent collaboration with Alife was just the start of Reebok’s strap-happy spring collection.  Here we have four bright new EX-O-FIT Hi J LEs (“J LE” indicating limited release for Japan only).  The silver and gold pairs are done in metallic fabrics, with a perforated base as the jumpoff for identically coloured solid pieces.  Each pair features a white midsole along the side panels with accent hues on the matching heel and toe.  The other two are more shiny than metallic, featuring yellow and green colourblocking, with the exception of that same white midsole.  These pairs feature staggered perforations for an interesting take on an oft-repeted texture.  Cop any or all of em now at the always well-stocked mita sneakers.

Raf Simmons High Top Sneakers

This shoe is a little different than what we usually feature, as it comes from Raf Simons who is well known for being the creative director Jil Sander as well as his notable designs in the couture sneaker world.  Raf’s latest creation for the urban-fashion world is this white high-top sneaker.  The shoe features an all white sole along with an all white upper accented by two velcro straps where laces would be and black tubing all around the rest of the upper.  These are definitely a fresh take on the high-top sneaker that you might want to add to your collection.  If you can muster up 450 Euros (about $630.00USD), go ahead and pick them up now at Colette.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI (6) GS Christmas Day

The Nike Zoom LeBron VI has, arguably, gotten more attention than any other signature basketball sneaker (with the exception of anything belonging to Michael Jordan) since the shoe’s debut a couple months back.  Up next Nike Basketball has something in store for the youngsters and all you ladies who can fit into grade school sizes.

This Nike Zoom LeBron VI, which will be released in grade school sizes, comes in a “Christmas Day” theme with a very interesting colorway.  Rather than what you may expect – Christmas colors – this Zoom LeBron VI comes in a black, white, blue and orange color scheme.  The shoe features a textured, shiny, black upper with white around the toe-box and on the Swoosh, which is accented with orange.  It is mostly white, but has orange stitching to go with an orange and blue out-sole.  All these colors match the orange laces and the blue inner of the shoe.  Could this be a signal of what’s to come in 2010.  The only aspects of this shoe that will make you think of Christmas are the tree on the inside of the tongue tab and the image of LeBron playing basketball as a child on Christmas Day on the insole.  These should hit Nike Basketball GS retailers sometime this month, so keep a look out.  via ISSForums

Nike Zoom Kobe IV Black White Gold

Yet another clean colorway has been revealed on the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, keeping Kobe’s latest signature shoe in the spotlight of basketball shoe news.  The above Zoom Kobe IV is rumored to be part of a Playoff Pack.  This shoe features some, or more accurately omits, colors that we don’t typically see on Kobe’s shoes (mainly that there is no purple).

Despite the lack of Lakers’ team colors, this shoe is still styled with a dope colorway of white/black-gold featuring  a white and black sole accompanied by a white upper featuring black flywire.  The black and gold accents can be found on the Swoosh, ankle support and laces. The tongue features a semi-enigmatic Kobe design with the word “Mamba” being easily identified.  Stay tuned for more information regarding the official release of this Zoom Kobe IV, but for now you can head over to Marquee Sole for select sizes.

Nike Sportswear x fragment design x UNDERCOVER Match Classic HF

We showed you this superstar triumvirate back in November, and if you can make it to the Nike Sportswear store in the Shibuya section of Tokyo, this Match Classic HF is no longer *under cover*.  That’s just a play on words, though, as Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER is still very much involved in this collabo with NSW and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design, evinced by the Japanese brands’ logos printed on these pairs’ vulcanized rubber soles.  Atop these soles are simple beige, navy blue and black suede uppers.  If you’re worn out from traveling this holiday season, head over to Bobos to order yours now.
