The Puma Clyde has been a staple in Puma’s footwear line since 1973. With all the different versions of the Puma Clyde that have been produced over the years, Puma has chosen to mark the sneaker’s significance with a version to really make the sneaker standout among all the sneakers on the market these days. With that thought in mind, Puma has created a Giant Clyde. The shoe has been produced in a size US45 and been given to sneaker shops around the world to display. Our friends over at Freshness were lucky enough to get one of these collector’s editions of the Puma Clyde in a rich, buttery, black suede construction bottomed out with the classic white sole. You can see how unusually large the shoe is in the pictures when compared with your regular, size 9 Clyde. Thanks to Freshness for the pics and be sure to check the rest of the pics after the jump.

The Air Force I High is one of Nike’s more popular retro models, however it’s higher cut predecessor, the Air Force II High has not had as much visibility. With the high cut silhouettes quickly becoming today’s sneaker du jour, Nike released an Air Force II High in its all original extra high cut glory. Nike’s latest ‘Gucci’ Air Force II High Premium offers a more luxurious take on the model by using superb materials in a flamboyant and familiar colorway. The mostly black upper features premium leather, with a fancy paisley material on the side panels and toe box. The sparingly placed accents of dark green and red, will most likely remind one of a color combination made popular by the luxurious ‘Gucci’ brand. While the shoes have nothing to do with the high fashion brand other than this resemblance, many sneaker enthusiast have given these sneakers the nickname of ‘Gucci’ referring to this particular colorway. The sneakers few colorful ‘Gucci’ accents grace only one of the shoes top eyelets, as well as the Nike Air logo on the tongue, and a colorful bootstrap on the heel. The ‘Gucci’ Nike Air Force II High Premium are available now at NikeStore.com

We haven’t seen a pair of Reebok Pump Omni Lites since the Chinese New Year edition commemorating the Year of the Ox, and it looks like it will be a good year indeed. There are three clean colourways here: white, black and silver. Each pair rocks a single colour and relies on texture for some pop. The silver pair features a woven fabric on the underlay, the white features horizontal mesh and the black joints find contrast in the diamond-patterned perforations. Take a look at the other shots from Bread & Butter 2009 courtesy of HQ, and add these to your list for Winter ’09.

We showed you a few Nike Air Max 95 samples back in November, and now it looks like one pair from that preview has already hit the market. This Air Max 95 is designed in a mostly black color scheme with red and white highlighting the different types of materials used on the upper. The shoe keeps to a pretty simple design with a black sole featuring red inside the Nike Air bubbles and the upper going from black to red to white and back to black. There also seems to be some type of reflective material used on the upper, but there is no information confirming what type of material it is. Go ahead and cop these now at Caliroots.

You may remember the collaboration between A Bathing Ape and the cartoon show Spongebob Squarepants last year that resulted in a dope Bapesta sneaker and some tee shirts. Recently, Pharrell Williams was spotted rocking some Spongebob Bapestas that were similar to the version released last year, but with a small twist. From the looks of the shoe from the pictures available, it seems like Pharrell was able to get his pair made out of some extra-lux crocodile skin (or what looks like crocodile skin) while keeping the same color scheme and Spongebob face by the heel. No word on whether or now these will be released in any type of quantity, but keep your fingers crossed and stay posted to Sneaker News. via BBC Blog

While this collection comes as no surprise as rumors of the collection has been leaked on the web via magazine scans and even a leak from Puma a short while back. For some of the more notable collaborations Stussy has had a hand in, Neighborhood was the other. Their Boneyard Pack of Terminators and Blazers met with mixed reviews, but the surf-inspired clothing label isn’t done yet.
Working with Dr. Martens, Stussy has managed a stunning reworking of the classic Desert Boot. Appearing in standard as well as unexpected colours, we see the Stussy touch in the rich suede uppers and contrasting laces. Both of these companies enjoyed their first great success in the 90′s, but this collection is set for a late Summer/early Fall 2009 release. Via UrbanCamou

This months Nike 6.0 releases include the above Dunk Low in a nice black and granite color scheme. The upper features a black suede in the front half, granite leather in the eyelets and heel and a white swoosh to finish off. The upper also gets a bit of pure purple in the heel tab logo and two sets of pure purple laces in different patterns. Also nice is the icy clear outsole with a nice crackle pattern underneath. You can find these now at most Nike 6.0 retailers including ID4Shoes and CCS.

When the other colourway dropped last week, you knew it was only a matter of time before the other shoe fell, so to speak. Both pairs of the Nike ACG Terminator Hybrid celebrate two decades of All Conditions Gear by altering a classic basketball shoe. Sporting a black and pink colourway, the Terminator Hybrid features water resistant and lightweight Clima-Fit breathable technology and a rugged Free-like sole. These joints are out now at Nike Sportswear retailers like Standard.

Perhaps overshadowed by other outstanding efforts from the Swoosh, the Nike Skateboarding line has taken something of a backseat, at least relative to its normal place at the head of Beaverton’s dinner table. There’s a bunch of hype creeping up for Summer 2009 and beyond, so we have to be careful to stay in the now.
Ironically enough, these aren’t *technically* available now, though they will be in a matter of days. Sporting a plaid ankle/heel and Kevlar-tipped laces, these seem at first glance like a conservative outfit condensed to a midtop vamp. Upon further inspection, we see a 90′s era skater, and the inspiration is clear: much like the JNCO-style elephant leg jean shorts worn by that character, plaid was a mainstay of the early part of last decade’s fashion. Plaid stuck it out, but you’ll look more current rocking these with skinny denim after you check the pics and then cop them from PTNC. Just remember to wear them with solid colours
