As Spring is slowly creeping up, many of the Nike Sportswear Spring 2009 styles are also making their way to retail. Above is part of a pack of women’s Air Max 90s with simple two tone color blocking, with this particular pair in abyss (dark purple) and volt (neon yellow-green). Similar to most regular release Air Max 90s for men the past few months, material choice for this pair and the pack is also fairly simple with just a synthetic leather upper and use of knitted mesh in the toebox and upper heel. Look for this colorway in US based retailers in the upcoming weeks but in Asia they are already in most Nike retailers, we found them on ebay.

This Valentines day, Nike has a few interesting sneakers coming out for the ladies. The above Blazer Low in red and white color blocking features a pattern we’ve seen recently in an Air Force 2 High. What’s interesting about the two are the skeletons with hearts replacing the eye socket, while v-day is generally more about love, the pattern seem call out poison more. Look for this colorway exclusively in Asia based retailers now, but you can also find them on ebay. Photos: Kixpress

By 1996, Ken Griffey Jr. was already well on his way to becoming one of baseball’s all-time greats. The fame, fortune and glory were nice, but we all know there is nothing quite like getting your own signature Nike sneaker. Unfortunately, Griffey’s promising career was eventually derailed by a string of injuries and his potential record-shattering paces were slowed significantly, but at the end of the day, he’s still got the shoes. Now you can have them too. The popular Air Griffey Max 1 is finally back in the black and white colorway with Fresh Water green accents to show his then Seattle Mariner pride. These are reported to be widely released in April, but you can get them now at Osneaker.
Also available now at nikestore.com.

When the Air Max Classic BW first hit the shelves back in 1991 in the original Black/Persian Violet colorway, they looked like something sent back from the future. With the vibrant color scheme and extra large visible air bubble, the BW was like no Nike shoe ever seen before and quickly became a fan favorite. It might not look so revolutionary nowadays, but this sneaker is still very near and dear to a lot of collectors’ hearts. Many alternate colorways have been released over the years, but none ever looked quite as fresh as the Persian Violets. This black/red/white sample come pretty close though, sticking to the original color scheme, but simply swapping out the violet for red. These are only a sample, but will hopefully be available some time in 2009. via Niketalk.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro Infrared was released in Asia today and to the surprise of many (and for the better) the materials and colors have been changed! Infrared is no more, the color has been changed to Max Orange which is a dark rich orange along with black on the upper and a white midsole. Another big change is the infrared patent leather which has been changed to Max Orange nylon, the black pieces on the upper is also made of nylon. Which this change, many are agreeing the new materials and color is much better and has slight resemblance to the AJKO. As mentioned, this colorway is now available in Asia and will hit the US on January 31st. For those of you who can’t wait, they’ve found their way onto eBay.

One of the original shoes that helped Nike jump start it’s Nike ACG collection of apparel and footwear was this Nike Air Mowabb in 1991 and while several shoes have drawn inspiration from this shoe’s colorway, they still don’t come close to the original. The Nike Air Mowabb will be released in it’s original colorway of Cream, Bright Mandarin, and Camel as a Quickstrike release, meaning limited pairs in only the best Nike retail doors, at the end of this month. Our friends over in Japan at Atmos will have them on January 31st, 2009.

By now, you’ve probably seen glimpses of the white on white Louis Vuitton boat shoes designed by Kanye West. Now we get our first up-close look at the next installment of this eagerly awaited collaboration. The second of 5 sneakers cooked up by Kanye is this incredible all red sample. The shoe has a modern feel thanks to the exaggerated heel flap, but somehow still maintains a classic look. No stranger to trend-setting fashion, Mr. West got the idea for the heel design from a character from the cult 80′s sci-fi flick, Dune. Combining fashion with function, the heel flap is said to be intended to make tucking pants easier. Another nice touch is the raised Louis Vuitton logos on the tongue and sole. Release is scheduled for June at Louis Vuitton stores, but no word yet on price. The safe bet would be to pick your jaw up off the floor and start saving your money now. via The New York Times.

The Air Max 90 is one of the flagships of the Nike retro fleet, and even though it has been released in so many colorways over the years, Nike is still figuring out ways to keep it fresh. Enter the boucle fabric edition. You’ll remember a similar material from the Nike x Married to the Mob Dunks and now it shows up again on the Air Max 90. The hatched texture gives the shoe a clean, classy look, but there is also a little flavor mixed in by way of the colorful spotted sole and pink air bubble. Unfortunately, these are a Euro exclusive, but you can get them now at kickz.

Earlier today we showed you the Bibby Inauguration Day PE, but Mike wasn’t the only Atlanta Hawk showing his Obama support on Tuesday. His partner in the backcourt, Joe Johnson also had on his own Jordan Pure Pressure PE’s when the Hawks took on the Bulls in the President’s former Chi-Town stomping grounds. Like Bibby’s these have the date “1-20-09″ stitched across the tongue to commemorate the historic day, as well as the patriotic themed graphics on the midsole. Joe’s model, however, uses navy blue instead of red as the secondary color on the tongue and sole and features some gold accents as well. Like the other Pure Pressure PE, these are available exclusively at House of Hoops.
