There’s something about a solid colorway of the Air Jordan I High that really allows it to shine. The simple tonal color scheme forces your attention to its classic silhouette rather than the lines that make it up. This idea is evident on this fun new Blue Sapphire edition. The shoe is constructed of beautiful light blue grid nylon and comes with matching laces to complete the monochromatic colorway. The only accent colors on the shoe are a black tongue label and a white midsole that really helps the bright blue to pop. These are slated to drop on March 14th, but VaultHarlem has some in stock already.

The Tom Penny Pro Model is here to remind folks of Supra’s versatility. In stark contrast to some of Supra’s flashier models, the Tom Penny shoe has a simple classic look, but still possesses some style of its own. Three different colorways sport some varying materials and perforation styles. Black and purple suede versions feature metallic gold accents with the white leather shoe using navy patent leather. All three feature a white midsole and tonal laces and can be found at select Supra accounts now.

With numerous Air Jordan Force VI High models already lining the shelves, the minds at Jordan have come up with a new concept for this latest Fusion design. This Air Jordan VI/Air Force 1 hybrid is not a low, not a mid, but a 5/8th cut, giving this shoe even more of a basketball look than most Jordan low models. The higher cut also allows for the protruding Air Jordan VI bubble on the ankle and the heel tab to be utilized, while still giving the shoe a unique look from the high versions. This Fusion model adopts the classic North Carolina color scheme that has appeared on so many Jordan models over the years. If you like what you see, these will be available at dunk.com with a wider release expected next month. Stay tuned for details.

When a sneaker has been released in as many colorways as the Nike Air Max 90 has, it must become pretty tough to keep coming up with fresh new concepts. Nike makes it look easy with this latest version of the running classic. From the front, this Air Max 90 looks simple enough, with a mostly solid black upper featuring a white midsole and some nice red accents. What really sets the shoe apart, however, is the cool black to white gradient coloring effect found on the mesh collar panel that wraps the ankle. This really adds a stylish touch and assures that the look of the Air Max 90 continues to evolve. These are expected to drop at Footlocker locations some time this April. via footlockerunlocked.

There is no rivalry in basketball more appropriate for this Converse Weapon Rivalry Pack than the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. Never mind that the two have had some of the game’s all-time greatest battles, but their star players, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson actually wore the Converse Weapon on the court for many of their matchups. Converse will honor the long-standing grudge with a Weapon High and Low for each team. What makes these kicks even cooler is the split style of the accents, in which half the shoe features one color over the black leather upper with a different color on the opposite side. These are expected to be very limited in quantity, but MajorDC has some in stock right now.

It looks like the Prestos we showed you yesterday will not be the only popular Nike running model to return in 2009. The Nike Air Footscape is coming back strong as a Tier Zero release in this subtle black/grey colorway. The upper features large sections of a thinly spaced black line pattern that is framed at both ends of the shoe by black suede panels on the toe and heel. A white midsole and additional grey and black accents complete the color scheme, with the Air Footscape’s trademark side lacing system adding the most notable element. Also note the decorated insole featuring a patchwork-style design pattern. Look for these to drop March 1st at sneakersnstuff and other select Tier 0 accounts.

The Jordan Dub Zero set the Jordan hybrid program into motion when it was released and now a few new colorways have been popping up lately to find themselves right at home in this current age of Fusion madness. If you thought the recently previewed black/laser blue and black/maize versions were looking good, get a load of these black and red beauties. Aside from the obvious color differences, what separates this shoe from the other new Dub Zero models is the black on black laser graphics and there’s something about that Chicago Bulls color scheme on a Jordan shoe that just always looks so right. You can pick up a pair now at MarqueeSole with more colorways on the way this summer. via nicekicks.

The Nike Dunk SB Mid has been popping up more and more lately and this latest edition is one of the freshest we’ve seen. You might not immediately realize it by looking at them, but a look at the insole reveals that these Dunks are inspired by the almighty boob tube. The insole is decorated with pixel boxes and the rainbow striped no-signal bars that appeared on old television sets. The outer part of the shoe looks pretty basic, with a suede cappuccino/silver upper accented by a textured material on the side panel and toebox and a silver Swoosh. These are available now at German retailer, Pivot, with hopefully more locations on the way. via dunkbar.
