Converse Jack Purcell Distressed Pack for J.Crew

Even though they look more like blueberries and creme, this collaboration is as perfectly elegant as peanut butter and jam.  J.Crew applied their timeless American fashion sense to another stateside classic: the Converse Jack Purcell.  Focusing on simple all white and navy blue/white colourways, the Converse Jack Purcell Distressed Pack for J.Crew adds texture to those simple palettes by adding seemingly random scuffmarks to the upper and frayed fabric around the ankles.  If you’re looking for something that’s going to look as good today as it does in ten, twenty or maybe even fifty years, the $65 investment at J.Crew’s online store is a wise choice.  Pics: HB

Air Jordan True Flight Sugar Ray Allen & Richard Rip Hamilton PE

The Air Jordan True Flight offers a modern take on the classic Air Jordan VII design.  Taking that iconic design and adding Zoom Air-equipped insoles makes for a shoe that performs just as well as it looks.  If you’re not convinced, just ask “Sugar” Ray Allen and Richard “Rip” Hamilton.  Two of Jordan Brand’s key NBA players, Rip and Sugar Ray have rocked the True Flight in player exclusive (PE) colourways sure to make sneakerheads worldwide a tad jealous.  Ray’s PE comes in black with Celtic green accents, while Rip’s kicks are white with red and blue Pistons-inspired notes.  Neither of these is currently set for release, but just like some of the other hot PEs we’ve seen, they might drop later at the House of Hoops.  Via Kenlu

Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier III

The LeBron VI has been one of the line’s most successful models, but it will not be the only strong offering this year from King James and company. Today, we got a look at the upcoming Zoom Soldier III, reportedly the lightest LeBron sneaker so far. If this black/white/red version is any indication, Nike might have a big hit on their hands. A nice combination of materials make up the upper and two wide straps cover the laces, giving the shoe a nice futuristic look.  Add that to the lightweight construction and the LeBron monster jam silhouette logo on the tongue and you’ve got one of the most appealing LeBron shoes yet.  Look for these to drop some time this April. via kiDulty.

Usugrow x Vans Spring/Summer 09

Vans’ latest artist collaboration showcases the work of Japanese artist, Usugrow. His dark tattoo-inspired line art style proves to be a good match for the three Vans shoes that make up this collection. The Half-Cab, AV Low and Sk8-Hi will all be released in Usugrow’s trademark black and white color scheme and feature elements of his artwork. The AV Low and Sk8-Hi feature black stitched graphics on black uppers with contrasting white midsoles, but the Half-Cab edition has some more noticable touches. The black leather Half-Cab has a cool skull with crossed swords on the heel and some of Usugrow’s lettering style carved into the side of the midsole. Look for this collection to drop some time in March. via Hypebeast.

Nike SB Dunk Mid Premium Ice Green Black

Nike SB looks to be releasing a new Dunk Mid Premium in a colorway similar to that of one of the classic Nike SB Dunk High’s from the earlier seasons of Nike SB, the “Sea Crystal” Dunk, here is a new Dunk Mid that uses that same Ice Green colorway in a suede on the shoe’s upper along with an identical Black Swoosh, White midsole, and Black Outsole. We don’t have any details as when we can expect a release but our best guess is that they will be released during the Summer months of this year. via 8420Sneaker

Nike Zoom Lebron VI Saint Vincent Saint Mary PE

Many would argue that Lebron James first burst onto the national scene as a High School basketball player playing at Saint Vincent Saint Mary High School in Ohio and Lebron so it’s easy to see why one of the best basketball players in the NBA would want to pay homage to the place where it all started for him. Not only has Lebron embraced his alma mater but he along with Nike have been one of the team’s sponsors for a number of years now. With that sponsorhip comes special Nike Lebron product such as Player Exclusive shoes. This year with the release of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI, Nike decided to create and produce a special colorway for the Irish, the team name of Saint Vincent Saint Mary, in White, Varsity Green, and Gold. Like many special Lebron PE’s these may never come out and if they do expect them to be limited to select retailers such as the House of Hoops. via LRJ23.com

Air Jordan I High Do the Right Thing Pack July 2009

Since alot of the passion driving the sneakerhead subculture stems from nostalgia, it makes sense that combinations like the A Tribe Called Quest-inspired Air Jordan Is tend to be polarizing.  Here’s another take on the Air Jordan I, this time referencing a film from hip-hop’s golden age rather than a musical group.  The Air Jordan I Do the Right Thing Pack bears the signaure visual style of the 1989 Spike Lee film and that period’s streetwear in general.

We get two white pairs in the popular hightop silhouette.  Both feature a single contrast colour, including a metallic Swoosh and ankle: one with red notes and the other with green.  Throw in patterned linings that mimic the texturized letters featured on a similarly-themed t-shirt and the whole set is hard to ignore.  These are set to drop in July, both for $105.  Stay tuned to Sneaker News for more pics and info as the release approaches.  Via NT

Here is another upcoming Nike SB Dunk Premium but this one is a Low as opposed to the Mid we just showed you. The Aqua Blue and Pink upper is broken up with bright Yellow lining along various parts of the upper, the midsole is White, and lastly the shoelaces and outsole are Black. Stay tuned for more information regarding this Nike SB Dunk Low Premium. via 8420Sneaker
