While Dwight Howard might be the NBA’s “Superman”, Lebron James is also a fan of the comic book hero as we’ve seen colorways of Nike’s Lebron signature series of shoes inspired by the colors of Superman’s costume. This year the Cleveland Cavaliers wore one of their alternate Hardwood Classics uniforms and it just so happend that the uniform was also the same colorway of Superman’s costume, hence the reason we are calling this Nike Zoom Lebron VI the Hardwood Classics Alternate/Superman PE. Here is a closer look at the shoe that features not only a really dope colorway but also some special materials such as 3M lining on the shoe’s upper. We are hearing rumblings that these will be released as a House of Hoops exclusive in the upcoming months. via Hattrick // ISS

As many of you Nike Basketball and Lebron James fans know, Christ the King High School, is one of the few high schools in America that is not only sponsored by Nike but specifically Lebron James and his collection. Every year they are one of the schools that Nike will create a special Nike Lebron James signature shoe Player Exclusive (PE) colorway for. This year the Nike Zoom Lebron VI has seen more colorways and exclusives than in any other year and so it should come as no surprise that the folks over at Nike Basketball didn’t forget about Christ the King HS, so here is a closer look at the Nike Zoom Lebron VI Christ the King PE. The CTS school colors are accented against a smooth White leather. If these are released expect it to be limited and only at select Nike Basketball locations such as the House of Hoops around the US. via LRJ23.com

Now that we’re half way through the NBA season we’re seeing a number of NBA players switch over into their new shoes, for Kobe Bryant, the league’s reigning MVP, he had already done so prior to the All-Star break but now he’s starting to switch up the colors on his Nike Zoom Kobe IV. A new colorway that is perfect for the Summer has surfaced and it comes in White, White, and Metallic Silver with most of the shoe being covered in all White and the outline of the Swoosh as well as the Fly Wire using Metallic Silver. The leather used around the toe box is a nice pebbled leather much like that of quality basketballs. Look for these to drop in the upcoming months at various Nike Basketball retailers. via Kenlu // marqueesole

Your author sometimes refers to well-favoured kicks as “delicious”, but these take the compliment literally. We knew these were coming, and now the Saucony Shadow 6000 Candy Pack is ready for your consumption. Featuring three pairs, inspired by Reese’s, KitKat and Snickers, respectively, this pack does a good job of balancing its inspiration with wearable colour combinations. Hungry? Grab a pair or two from Extra Butter.

Nike Sportswear was established last year as a concerted effort by Beaverton to emphasize the historical significance of their kicks and apparel. The Nike Air 1/2 (Half) Cent stands as one of the most fully realized manifestations of that intent. Featuring elements from all five of Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway’s Nike signature models including the original Foamposite and Air Penny models I – IV, the Half Cent is one of the smoothest hybrids we’ve seen. The shoe manages to capture the *spirit* of the Air Penny line, especially the Li’l Penny marketing campaign. These joints have hit select Nike retailers, and we found some on eBay, in case they’re out of stock near you.

Color: Varsity Royal/Black-Metallic Silver
Price: $190.00

Gourmet made its name by reimagining a few Air Jordan models and they’re still adding a sporty touch to their own special brand of lifestyle sneakers. Although we see nods to the Nike Cortez and any number of Air Max models, these new releases have more of their own thing goin’ on. The Gourmet Otto and Sette (info on which is which is currently unavailable) both feature patent leather uppers riding well-cushioned ridged soles. The black model is pulled taught in a chukka-esque silhouette, while the blue joints are crinkled and remind us of golf shoes. Both of em will be out soon at retailers like Huf, Undefeated, Fred Segal and Revolve. Via HB

Best known for their wildly colored shorts and surf gear in the 80′s, California label, Jams, is still going strong. They recently teamed up with Converse to re-release their classic Skidgrip sneaker in both high and low versions. “Original Jams by Converse” tags announce the collaboration on the tongue, midsole and along the heel. These will reportedly be very limited in release and to make them even more special, no two pair are quite alike. If you want to capture some of that old-school surf nostalgia, MajorDC has got a bunch in men’s and women’s sizes.

The latest partnership between skate heavyweights HUF and DVS is proof that keeping it simple can yield great results. The pair will be releasing their Doughboy collaboration in five colorways. Although the shoe takes a minimalist approach in its design, it still manages to create a slick silhouette thanks to the extra long toe section. All five versions feature solid uppers with vibrant purple, aqua and yellow for the bold, with more conservative black and white versions for those who keep it a little less flashy. Look for these beginning Saturday, February 28th at all HUF locations.
