SBTG New Custom Sneakers Section Spring 09

Over the years, SBTG has truly become a force to recon with in the world of custom sneakers; both in terms of quality/creativity as well as market share.  The success and popularity of the recent Dead Generals Dunks and the demand that has been growing for SBTG’s one-of-a-kind custom kicks has prompted him to put together a broader selection of designs and quantities for this Spring’s collection.  Two themes that should be familiar to SBTG fans will be available in a more D.I.Y. context.

The first series of note available from the deft hands of SBTG is the SAWTOOTH Dunk Series, which draws a design cue from the SBTG x Phu “Death From Above” collaboration that come out back in 2008.  Sticking with his fondness of military themes, the SAWTOOTH series of Dunk Lows features the type of shark teeh design that you may recognize from American war planes during WWII.  Along with the shark teeth comes an Acid Pop twist with metallic accents, bright colors and leopord-like animal prints.  These SAWTOOTH Dunks will be available in four schemes; Instinct, Bloodspot / Sable, Royal / Mono, Venom & Teal and straight up Venom.  The availability of these will be a little more open-ended than typical SBTG releases, and with a price tag of $450.00.

Also available will be a monotone twist to the SBTG x Lazy Paramount Dunk, titled “White Noise”.  This Dunk Low is adorned with premium Gucci selvage denim along with a black and white Palestinian Shemagh and a reptile-textured Swoosh.    Both the SAWTOOTH and White Noise Dunk Lows are available on a made-to-order basis, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting your hands on a pair.

This time around, SBTG will be mixing up his selection with some 1 of 1s in the form of four Air Max 90s.  Dubbed the “Shark Attack Air Max 90,” all four pairs feature similar designs to the SAWTOOTH Dunk Lows utilizing a teeth design, animal print and vivid colors.  These will NOT be available on a made to order basis, so grab them while you can because once they are gone, they are gone.

This myriad of great designs fresh off the desk of SBTG are available now on RoyalFam’s Website, and be sure to peep all the rest of the designs after the jump.

Nike ACG Wildedge + Air Magma Mowabb Pack

Last month, we previewed the return of the original Nike Air Mowabb, a classic model who’s iconic colorway has been lent to a variety of Nike models over the last year or so to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ACG line. To coincide with the quickstrike re-release of the original, the ACG Wildedge and Air Magma have been given the Mowabb treatment, both adopting the legendary cream/royal/mandarin colorway.

Sneakerheads can’t seem to get enough of this color combo and this pack is proof that it’s almost impossible to get wrong. Choosing both an old and newer Nike model was a nice way of spreading the Mowabb-love and we can only hope the trend continues for the rest of the year. Both pairs are available now at New Jersey sneaker haven, Packer Shoes. Check out more pics after the jump, as well as a look at Packer’s ultra-cool vintage Nike tag-inspired business cards.

Nylon Magazine x Nike Dunk High Yellow Detail Photos

Since we reported on the Nike Dunk High x Nylon Magazine yesterday, our sister site nitrolicious.com who’s covering NY Fashion Week caught them right outside the Donna Karen Fashion show today. The above is actually a yellow pair that was not in our post yesterday and with these close up photos we can see clearly the tongue tag is co-branded with Nylon Magazine’s logo. The uppers are also slightly different from the regular nylon Nike Vandal inspired Nike Dunk High, the Nylon Magazine editions feature additional tonal graphics which we believe spell out “NYLON”. This colorway is rumored to release this coming June 2009, stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info. Via nitro:licious

Nike Air Force 1 Black History Month 09 Detail Photos

We’ve already given you a couple looks at the 2009 Black History Month Air Force 1, but now we finally get a look at some detailed close-ups. Thanks to these new images, you can really get a great view of the laser etched “100″ graphics on the upper and the details on the tongue and heel tags. Also more noticeable are the red and green stitching and the green bottom eyelet and piping around the tongue. As we told you, these sneakers are not released for retail and only given to a select few, so unfortunately this is probably the closest look most of us will ever get.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV Chaos Terrell Owens NBA Celebrity Game

No stranger to chaos, Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens gave the word new meaning as he sported a pair of Nike Zoom Kobe IV Chaos Editions during the Celebrity Basketball Game at NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix. T.O. threw down a monster dunk off the glass en route to his second straight Celebrity MVP honor. Owens recently parted ways with Jordan Brand and it just so happened that the Kobe IV Chaos was a perfect fit for some obvious reasons, not mention that it matched the uniform’s color scheme.

T.O. was not the only one at All-Star weekend making the Kobe IV’s look good.  During the All-Star Game broadcast, TNT’s Craig Sager held up a pair of red All-Star Kobe IV’s and gave the shoe some serious love. Meanwhile, Kobe was busy showing off the pair on his feet as he scored 27 and shared a Co-MVP award with former teammate/rival Shaquille O’Neal.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI Akron Edition

As some of the NBA’s best shooters and dunkers were competing on the floor, two of its biggest stars were positioning on the sidelines for the title of best dressed. East All-Star teammates Lebron James and Dwyane Wade were stylin’ to the next level sitting courtside on Saturday night in Phoenix. Wade’s red glasses, pink hanky and the personalized band-aid on his face may have made a slightly louder fashion statement, but the battle of the kicks clearly went to LeBron.

King James showed love for his roots, debuting a new Akron-inspired version of his Nike Zoom LeBron VI sneaker. This crisp shoe sports a white toe and illustrated navy upper that features images from LeBron’s home city, right down to the sign from the street he grew up on. Gold accents complete the Akron color scheme with the University of Akron logo inside the collar as an added touch. A House of Hoops release is in the forecast, but you’ll have to stay tuned for the confirmed drop date. via SoleCollector.
