The Puma Mid x UNDFTD release went down last weekend at a select number of retailers across the United States but no release was as good as the one at UNDFTD LA, where sneakerheads came out and lined up to try and pick up their pair, including the much talked about Gold Mirror Edition, luckily for those who lined up outside of UNDFTD on La Brea, Puma Designer, Adam Leaventon, bought everyone breakfast from McDonald’s and even raffled off four pairs of the all Gold collaboration Puma Mid’s. via SOLEblvd

The most recent Puma collaboration took place in the world of high fashion, utilizing themes created by couture designer Alexander McQueen. Resulting in the Alexander McQueen Ribcage, Puma has modeled the sneaker on AMQ designs that were centered human anatomy.
Mesh adorns the upper of all four pairs of AMQ Ribcages, but is used in different ways on two of the pairs simply called the AMQ Ribcage as opposed to the other two, named the AMQ Ribcage Sport. All four pairs also feature a ribcage-inspired construction connecting the sole to the laces.
The AMQ Ribcage comes in solid black and solid bronze. respectively, and each pair is equipped with a premium leather take on the ribcage construction. These will retail for $300. Moving on to the AMQ Ribcage Sport edition, you will find a much more colorful design. On each of the Sports, which come in two colors: lime green and electric blue, a transluscent TPU is used to make up the ribcage piece. Both Sport versions are styled with tendon-like designs in gradient colors along the sides of each upper. These more colorful versions will retail for $250.
Both pairs will be available for purchase at PUMA The Black Store, located in New York’s Meatpacking Disctrict as well as on PUMA.com.

For a while now we’ve seen Tony Parker rocking player exclusive Hyperdunks and Hurache ‘O9s, but we have yet to see a signature shoe come out of Nike Basketball for the three time Champion point guard. After three rings, Tony Parker has finally been given a signature shoe dubbed the Nike Zoom Flight Club. The shoe features perforated, white leather covering most of the upper leaving the rest to smooth, black nubuck. A zipper in the middle hides the laces and the sole looks to have some good grip for manuevering along with a nicely sized air bubble. An ankle strap adds support while Tony Parker’s logo on the heel offers a little extra style. In case you haven’t figured it out by now, these shoes are extremely reminiscent of Gary Payton’s Zoom Flight 98. While there is no release information available at this moment, go ahead a cop a pair now at MarqueeSole.

While sneakers are not necessarily a seasonal fashion, it’s nice when designers consider it when coming up with new colors and designs. To get ready for Spring, which is (hopefully) quickly approaching, the kind folks at Vans have released three new colors applied to their low-cut Authentics. The colors included in this pack of three are orange, blue and green with the respective color of each shoe being included in the stripe on each all white sole. Mini-Check on the inner panels adds a subtle, but dope aspect to these clean Authenitcs. Even though it’s still cold outside, head on over to DQM to cop these now.

Sneaker designers everywhere must be trying to figure out where Vans’ design muse is because the company cannot stop coming up with fresh re-styling takes on their classic skate shoes. Even though Spring is just a couple months away, Vans is gearing up for what is to come in in the latter, colder part of 2009.
To keep you well-equipped while you attempt to skate around next Fall and Winter, Vans Vault has suited up their Chukka Boot in a warm looking, pea coat theme. The shoe is decked out from sole to ankle in wool-type fabric along with a strap and button to drive the pea coat theme home. These Chukka Boots will drop in three colorways – grey, black and blue, with all three pairs rocking a black sole. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info as the season approaches. via Hypebeast // Marcus Troy

Vans Pro Skater Johnny Layton’s debut signature model has recently released in a brand new mid top version featuring premium materials. The Vans J-Lay Mid – Black Teal is inspired from the mid top basketball shoes that skateboarders often wore in the 70′s. This particular signature model features a unique upper made almost entirely of smooth teal pig suede. The shoe does have some black leather on the toe box, tongue, and heel tab to match the included black laces. The shoes rest on a white mid sole with a matching teal pin stripe, along with the skateboarding friendly classic Vans vulcanized waffle sole. Johnny’s initials grace the out sole and the heel tab, while his signature appears on the tongue tag below the infamous Vans ‘Off The Wall’ logo. Available now at select Vans retailers including Zappos.

The Asics Gel Lyte III is right up there with Nike’s Air Max 90 and select New Balance models: no longer high-tech, but it’s still beautiful in nearly every colourway. This time we get a pair in red and black that’s made a little less aggressive by grey and white accents. Whatever your mood, these are a solid pickup for spring and are ready now at eBay and select Asics accounts.

Sneakers *are* important . . . so much so that even though you can’t have these, we know you’ll wanna see em. Perfect for keeping Bapestas or any other shoe in his surely massive collection in pristine shape, A Bathing Ape founder Nigo commissioned the building of these transparent shoe trees and posted them to his Honeyee blog. Just like his collection of Kaws paintings, you can eat your heart out trying to get some. Who knows, maybe a ton of internet chatter will push Bape to a wide release; surely the chances are better than getting your own x-eyed Simpsons print.
