In 1989, tennis phenom, Michael Chang won the French Open at the tender age of 17, making him the youngest player to ever win a Grand Slam event. Reebok is honoring the 20th anniversary of this remarkable accomplishment by re-releasing Chang’s Court Victory Pump II in two classic colorways. “Blood Orange” and “Veridian Green” versions of the shoe have just hit select Reebok retailers and are bringing some classic Pump nostalgia with them. Reebok will also be releasing some of the apparel that accompanied the sneakers during their first go-around. The last few Ex-O-Fits have been notably flashy, and we found a couple new joints that might be a bit more versatile, if slightly less eye-popping.  The Reebok Ex-O-Fit Mid Clean appears in mud brown and mint green leather, and while both are shiny, they’re significantly subdued, compared to the crazy J Strap LE versions we saw last month.  However different they may be, these are also available in Japan, this time from atmos.

Japanese retailer Chapter World has teamed up with Reebok to release new editions of the Court Victory Pump and Pump Omni Lite. Dubbed the Juggernaut pack, both shoes come in rich monochromatic colorways that even cover the midsole and laces. The Court Victory Pump will come in “Burning Red” and the Pump Omni Lite in “Silent Blue.” Chapter’s Juggernaut character provides the inspiration for this juicy pack and is featured on the insole. What do you get when you cross Madfoot with Greedy Genius?  Take a look at the Spring/Summer 2009 collection from Chinese cobblers MS Sneaker and the comparisons are obvious.  Here we see four new colours of their signature hightop.  Each pair is done in colourful, yet traditional complexion.  However original the designs, there’s no question that the hues used on these kicks are expertly arranged, serving to compliment the contrast between suede and mesh.  If you’re looking for something a little different than all your friends’ hightops, check Sneaker News for updates and release info.  Via HB

The Nike Zoom Waffle Racer is not one of Nike’s most prominent models, but it definitely has a good design to it; sometimes, the classic look is really the way to go. This particular incarnation comes in a black, green, and red colorway, with a nice patent leather swoosh. These are definitely a slick pair of shoes, and have a nice, clean colorway that will make people sit up and take notice. Despite being eye-catching, these shoes are hardly tacky or overdone; they manage to attract attention in a nice, low-key manner. With what looks to be premium-level materials, and a nice classic design, these kicks are definitely something to look forward to. They have just dropped in Japan at LTD but look for the US drop very soon.
