Vans is showing some love for Mother Earth with the new environmentally conscious Eco Era LX. They have taken the classic Era sneaker and redesigned it using eco-friendly materials provided by innovative textile manufacturer, Maharam. The shoe features a simple red and blue upper with a white midsole and comes with the satisfaction of knowing that when you wear them out, they will be far more recyclable than most sneakers. To further seal the deal, the Vans Vault Eco Era LX will come with an extra pair of blue laces and a special recycled collector’s box. The Nike Dunk SB Mid has been popping up more and more lately and this latest edition is one of the freshest we’ve seen. You might not immediately realize it by looking at them, but a look at the insole reveals that these Dunks are inspired by the almighty boob tube. The insole is decorated with pixel boxes and the rainbow striped no-signal bars that appeared on old television sets. The outer part of the shoe looks pretty basic, with a suede cappuccino/silver upper accented by a textured material on the side panel and toebox and a silver Swoosh. These are available now at German retailer, Pivot, with hopefully more locations on the way. via dunkbar.

In 1996, Michael Jordan and the nearly unstoppable 72-10 Chicago Bulls took down Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp and the now defunct Seattle Supersonics in six games to capture their fourth NBA Championship. A few weeks ago, we showed you a preview of the upcoming Supersonics editions from the ongoing Air Jordan I Low Phat Championship Packs, and now we get some better looks at both the home and away colorways. The midsoles that looked so dark in the original pics are more visibly green in these images, giving the shoes much more of a Sonics feel. The Nike Foamposite Lite has been surrounded by some huge buzz in the sneaker world since Nate Robinson broke out that insane neon green Kryptonate edition at All-Star Weekend in Phoenix a couple weeks ago. It appears that Nike will ride the wave of Foamposite Lite excitement by releasing this neon royal blue pair that features a translucent gradient effect on the foam section, similar to the Kryptonates. In addition to its Krypto-similarities, this royal and black version also looks like something that could have been part of the recent Air Penny comeback, although there is no actual tie-in. No matter why you might like it, be advised that this Foamposite Lite is in stock now at sneakerhead and will probably go fast, so don’t hesitate.

A little over a year ago, JD Sports put out a grey and neon Air Max Light which turned out to be a huge hit. This year JD is back with a slight variation of the colorway similar colors and slightly different materials. The upper features medium grey felt on the mudguard along with light grey synthetic suede on the mid body. The toebox, tongue and upper heel features mesh so Air Max fans should be happy. Neon green accents in the toe area of the outsole and upper heel while black is used on the swoosh and plastic eyelets. Unfortunately for most these are available now exclusively at JD Sports in the UK.

These have been around at different shops around the world but have just started to hit US retailers so if you have been waiting for them they should be in most US retailers now. One of the surprise Retro’s from Nike Sportswear this Spring 2009 season has been the return of the Nike Air Tailwind 92, one of the original colorways has already hit retailers and the NikeStore. This colorway is composed of White, Orange Blaze, and Varsity Purple with a combination of mesh, leather and felt on the upper. The shoe’s mesh toebox should be appreciated by most sneakerheads. Look for additional colorways of the Air Tailwind 92 to hit retailers in the upcoming seasons but until then pick this pair up now at Size? and in the US at nikestore.com.

Nike 6.0 has dropped a number of pretty unique Dunks over the past few months, above is another one from the younger action sports division of Nike. The sneaker features a unique dark cinder cracked leather on the front half, a green soft leather swoosh and a grey heel. White details the toebox, tongue and midsole while the outsole gets the same green as the swoosh. Look for these now at Nike 6.0 retailers including nikestore.com.

When it comes to lightweight comfortable running shoes, the Nike Air Presto was pretty state of the art when it hit the shelves in 2000. In what seems to be a long overdue decision, Nike will re-release the Presto this year in a variety of colors, starting with these solid red and black versions. Blending modern style and function, the Presto was a breath of fresh air when it entered the running shoe game 9 years ago and this encore will likely help it take over once again. As stated earlier, many colors are on the way, but you can get the red pair right now in Japan but expect these to hit US retailers in the next month or two.

By now you’ve probably seen a couple of colorways of the Jordan CP3.II, but now a new version emerges as possibly the nicest yet. New Orleans Hornets point guard phenom Chris Paul’s second signature model from Jordan Brand looks like a Jordan athlete’s shoe should. The CP3.II is loaded with stylish touches like patent leather, laser graphics, perforated sections and a variety of materials and textures. This thoughtful attention to detail makes this white/black/teal version one of the freshest Jordan signature models yet and will surely be a hit when it arrives in stores in the near future. Last month we showed you some sweet Air Jordan PE’s designed exclusively for Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus. Now a different colorway of an Air Jordan IX made for Marcus Jordan has just hit eBay. These size 15 game-worn sneakers come in a very nice black/yellow colorway and feature Marcus’s number 5 stitched into the heel. This is one of only two pairs ever made and Marcus is holding on to the second pair, so this is probably your only shot at adding a super rare Jordan collector’s piece to your arsenal. Get to eBay and start bidding, but be warned that they obviously won’t come cheap.
