Jordan Brand can’t shell out a fresh batch of player exclusives without including “Sugar” Ray Allen.  With that being said, Sugar Ray will be sporting the Air Jordan 2009 in a style that is different from the two previous styles we have seen set to debut during the All Star Game.  Ray Allen’s PE features more generous use of the navy blue to represent the Eastern Conference all-star team.  The sole looks just like the one on Joe Johnson’s AJ 2009 PE with the navy and multi-hued mid-sole and white out-sole.  On the upper, however, there is less white and more navy, which colors in all the gilled sections of the shoe along with the leather arond the ankle and heel.  Bordering he navy is a brighter, university blue in the form of tasteful, patent leather sections around the navy blue.  Expect these to assist in Ray Allen in some nice shots this weekend.

It looks like Chris Paul won’t be the only Jordan Brand athlete rocking the Air Jordan 2009 during this upcoming NBA All-Star game weekend.  Joe Johnson, who will be going against Chris Paul and the Western Conference all-stars, has gotten his own PE of the Air Jordan 2009 in a very similar style to Chris Paul’s, but with blue instead of red.  The middle area of the mid-sole is designed with a mixture of different hues of navy while the other navy accents on the shoe are limited to the area around the ankle.  University blue is used on the lace eyelets, the single stitch on the side of the lower ankle and to spice up the heel tab.  Be on the lookout for these and other PEs this weekend.

Before Kobe Bryant officially unveiled is 4th signature sneaker – the Nike Zoom Kobe IV – he was on the campaign trail for the shoe that introduced Nike Basketball’s Flywire technology to the world: the Nike Hyperdunk.  While he was gearing up to debut the Zoom Kobe IV, Nike Basketball hooked him up with a preview in the form of a Hyperdunk with a ZKIV sole.  In December, we showed you some pictures of the white, home colorway of this basketball shoe hybrid, but now we have some detailed shots of the shoe in the Lakers’ away colors.

The shoe looks identical to usual Hyperdunk Kobe wore during away games at the beginning of the season, featuring mostly black with accents of yellow Flywire, a purple Swoosh and a yellow Kobe symbol on the tongue.   Subtly replacing the usual Hyperdunk sole is the sole from the Zoom Kobe IV, which by now you could probably spot from a mile away.  Maybe this was a way for Kobe to test out the Zoom Air technology on his new sole before he rocked the ZKIV on court.  While it is not likely these will make it out to retail shelves, you can check out all the pictures after the jump.  via HK-Kicks

Somewhat literally hot on the heels of the Air Jordan-evoking pair of Vans Owens Hi LS revealed Tuesday are a new pair in another Chi-town palette.  The most obvious change is the shift from a white upper to black, but the sole swap may prove most functionally significant.  Instead of the newer, almost basketball-style sole on the LS joints, the Vans Owen Hi Vulc Mu features the diamond-patterned outsole we’ve come to know and love from Off the Wall, encased in a vulcanized rubber white outsole a la their Sk8-Hi.  The choice is yours whether you prefer this look to the others, and like the earlier entrant, you can grab these from Grip.

Most companies have already announced their footwear line ups for the All Star Game in Phoenix, Jordan Brand just announced three Air Jordan 2009 colorways for three of their sponsored players. Above is the Air Jordan 2009 Chris Paul will be wearing during this years NBA All Star Game. Matching the white and red color scheme of the Western Conference the Air Jordan 2009 features a mostly white body with red leather accents in the heel area. The Air Max Spot Up has been splashed with a gradient red colorway to match the desert red of this year’s Western All-Star uniforms. The Nike Air Rejuven8 has been on a short hiatus after we saw a number of athletes wearing it during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, now Japanese Mixed Martial Arts fighter Caol Uno and his 10AC label have once again collaborated with Nike, this time on a special Quickstrike colorway of the Air Rejuven8. This 10AC Quickstrike Rejuven8 features two removable inner Rejuven8 socks that have stars on the bottom of them, a dope graphic that unfortunately can’t be seen when you’re actually wearing the socks inside of the Rejuven8. Apparently, the Supra Cruizer will not be the only skate shoe this season to draw inspiration from the Air Jordan catalog. The Vans Owens Hi is obviously a tribute to some classic Jordan models. The silhouette and colorway are reminiscent of the Air Jordan V, but the shoe also sports some red ridges on the heel similar to the II’s and speckles on the midsole like the IV’s. Aside from its obvious influences, this shoe has some nice touches of its own with a quilted pattern around the ankle and select panels decked out in white croc skin materials. If you are dedicated to skating in style this winter, you might want to pick up a pair at Grip.

The Air Jordan 1 High A Tribe Called Quest colorway dropped a short while back along with the apparel pieces, to our surprise a pair of Jordan Phly in the same colors and materials just dropped. The upper is made mostly of black tumble leather with the entire side panel is in the ‘A Tribe Called Quest’ colors and materials. solesiriussouth is reporting that these are available at Footaction now but just as a heads up for NYC heads, so far no stores in NYC has these yet.
