A couple days before Christmas last year we showed you a pair of Nike SB Dunk Low Premium’s that at the time featured a insole that had what looked like ants on it and now a couple months later this actual pair of SB Dunk’s have been released and instead of featuring an insole with ants on it, the insole actually features a very artistic graphic of an angel and the devil on it. Like all other Nike SB Dunk Premium shoes the Nike SB team came correct on this one when it comes to the materials used with the upper using a Black denim on the heel and the rest of the upper using a soft leather. Another thing that you sneakerheads might notice is the special Nike SB logo on the shoe’s tongue. Pick this pair of SB Dunks up now at select Nike SB retailers in addition to the Kix-Files Online Store.

We’ve noticed Nike Sportswear apply a subtle touch with some new models and while ALIFE could never be accused of quietude, they’re certainly using similar silhouettes. Appearing as the second part of their Spring 2009 drop, the folks who made Rivington St. a sneakerhead mecca are set to drop a pair of Chucks (ALIFE’s chukka) and the Dunk-inspired Everybody America High. The Chucks appear in simple colourways: brown and black pebbled leather uppers top white midsoles. Meanwhile, the shoe for each United States citizen comes in three satiny silver editions, each accented with woven metallic side panels and toeboxes. You can cop any or all five now at ALIFE retailers like Goods. Via SC

Nike Sportswear is not only absolutely wreckin’ it by imagining new horizons for old favourites, they’re also carving out a subtler, more ‘mature’ niche for the Swoosh. Created to spearhead the super high-end Pinnacle collection, here we see the Nike Sportswear Air Elan Pinnacle QS burst onto the scene. These one-colour do-ups feature lush full-grain leather uppers atop identically hewn soles while a perforated naked Swoosh lends an air of sophistication. The patterned linings provide the only real contrast here, and the total effect is a shoe you can rock at every nightclub imaginable. They’re set to drop on Monday, February 16 at the Hong Kong NSW store as well as Lane Crawford’s e-store. Via HB

Mayor could not leave a great session of designing some fresh to death Air Force 1s at the one-of-a-kind Bespoke studio without adding a denim touch to his favorite sneaker.
Starting with the obvious, for the third time in a row, we see a clear and icy mid-sole…maybe Mayor is trying to send a message to Nike Sportswear because an icy mid-sole would be great to see on some general releases. This time, however, the stitching remains white and does not match the solid yellow out-sole.
On the upper denim is used to construct everything but the Swoosh, which is made up of a yellow cloth material. The denim on this AF1, however, doesn’t look like it typically does when applied to most sneakers and that is because the denim seen here is reverse denim (which is basically what your jeans would look like if you turned them inside out). Regular denim is used on the heel tab and surrounds the “Nike Air”, which is embroidered in yellow to match the out-sole, Swoosh and Laces. Giving the shoe classic look is light brown, premium leather inner, which allows this AF1 to really bring a fresh and novel style to the table.
Unfortunately, unlike the materials in the previous two Air Force 1s designed this renowned AF1 collector, reverse denim won’t be making it onto any more shoes as it is not an available option at the Bespoke studio. Don’t be discouraged because regular denim is always available to apply to your favorite kicks at the bespoke studios and you shouldn’t have too much trouble coming up with something dope…even without reverse denim. Make sure to check out all the photos below.

Up next from The Mayor’s trip to the Bespoke studio at 21 Mercer is an Air Force 1 that might make you think of a certain holiday that is quickly approaching. Once again, Mayor uses a dope, icy mid-sole with a solid, red bottom and red stitching. The upper is decked out in a metallic red material making this look like an extra fresh, extra tasty Valentine’s day candy. Lightening up the metallic red is a metallic silver Swoosh and metallic silver heel-tab. Just like the pair below, you can cook up something with the same premium materials at 21 Mercer’s Bespoke studio. Make sure to peep all the pictures of this beauty after the jump.

When the word “mayor” comes up in typical conversations between people are not engaged in the sneaker world, the image that usually comes to mind is figures such as Michael Bloomberg or Rudy Giuliani. Conversations and colloquials between sneaker fiends tend to be a little different, however, when it comes to words like “mayor”, as the The Mayor is known as a person who owns one of the dopest collections of Air Force 1s in existence. It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from the Mayor, who whose enormous Air Force 1 collection of samples, tier zeroes and quickstrikes was made official by his 1000th AF1 designed for him by Nike Sportswear and DJ Clark Kent.
The Mayor couldn’t help but go back into the Nike iD Bespoke studio at 21 Mercer Street to design some new Air Force 1s to add to his ever-growing collection. Being an Air Force 1 addict proves to be a pretty fun habit to have, as Mayor quickly began to mix and match colors, textures and materials within 21 Mercer.
The first of three Air Force 1s Mayor thought up during his last visit is this infrared and teal design that thoroughly exploits the fresh array of lux materials available at the Bespoke studios. Let’s start with the sole, where we can see how Mayor uses the clear, icy treatment on the mid-sole with infrared stitching and keeps the out-sole colored solidly in teal. Moving on to the upper, you can see the infrared useage on the front and mid-panels along with the heel-tab. Teal accents the entire upper in the stitching as well as on the entire Swoosh, laces and “Nike Air” on the back. Topping it all off is metallic silver on the back panel, which adds a fresh flavor to the entire shoe.
Note how all the materials look more luxurious than what we typically see on standard Air Force 1s. This is because the Bespoke studio allows the designer, like the did with Mayor, to use the best materials Nike Sportswear has to offer. If you’re feeling jealous of The Mayor for creating and obtaining this 1 of 1 Air Force 1, don’t worry, just make an appointment at the Bespoke studio located within 21 Mercer.

The Nike x Coraline Dunk is the latest Dunk to receive a number of attention via the sneaker and streetwear blogs and while the movie props edition we showed you might catch someone a nice payday if they were to be sold it seems there is an even more limited edition of this special collaboration shoe between Nike and Coraline. The good folks over at UNDFTD just received a pair of the Coraline Wooden Box Edition Dunks that are limited to 15, these Coraline Dunks don’t come in a regular sneakerbox but instead they are packaged in a wooden box that is opened with a special key. via Eddie Cruz

The Huarache 09 basketball sneaker has been in the news quite a bit the past few days as, the entire NBA prepares for the annual All Star Game. Above is the black and anthracite colorway that’s just released at most Nike Basketball retailers. The Huarache basketball line was designed as a Nike Considered Design product for its 2009 version. The sneaker uses Environmentally Preferred Materials (EPMs), with a high recycled content, wherever possible. The stitching details and embroidery create structural support, eliminating the need for excessive overlays, embellishments and backing materials. A smarter pattern design allowed for a cutting efficiency of 70 percent on the upper, substantially reducing waste. Look for Black – Anthracite Nike Huarache 09 at Nike Basketball retailers and nikestore.com.

The third piece of the upcoming collection is a wing-tip style black dress shoe with some very upscale decorative perforation patterns. These are available now at IT and will hopefully be hitting additional retailers soon. via Hypebeast.

Nike Basketball may be the driving force behind making the LeBron James name an icon among sneaker heads, but there is another set of shoes that are just as important to LeBron’s sole-status. Air Force 1s that have been created especially for King James by Nike Sportswear over the years have just as much influence over sneaker collectors as do the kicks he wears on the court. If you don’t remember, a special edition Saturday Night Live x LeBron James AF1 sold for around $2500 a couple months ago, solidifying the value of the basketball superstar’s mark on kicks of all types.
Here’s an Air Force 1 designed for LeBron and his circle of friends two years back but just started making rounds on the web again. The shoe’s upper is covered, nearly seamlessly, in supply, brown leather held together by brown stitching. The sole consists of white stitching on the mid-sole along with white paint on the “AIR” symbol to offset the light brown color of the out-sole. One more mark of LeBron is located on the in-sole and comes in the form of a crown to mark his royalty on the realm of the NBA. Unfortunately, as is the case with the majority of LeBron AF1s, these only released as a friends and family and the only pair that made it to Ebay was snatched up in an instant. Pictures via zach13g

Last month, we gave you a preview of the memorable upcoming Puma x Sergio Rossi women’s collection, and it was only a matter of time before we saw what they had in store for the men. It seems that the collaborators kept things very simple with the men’s collection, opting for solid monochromatic colorways. Several versions of the Clyde and First Round will be available in different premium materials such as smooth leather, patent and suede. Black, white and dark grey colors dominate the line-up, giving it a clean and classy aesthetic. Like the women’s collection, all the sneakers feature Rossi’s logo beside Puma’s on the upper. Be on the look out for these later in the year. via HighSnobiety.
