Stussy x Dr. Martens Desert Boot Fall 2009

Shawn Stussy’s eponymous clothing line is one of the veterans of streetwear.  Their return to prominence this past decade serves as inspriation to some in the fashion world during this time of economic uncertainty.  One of the ways Stussy charged back onto the map hard was with a few key collaborations.  Here’s another one, and these pictures seem to indicate a can’t-miss.

The Stussy x Dr. Martens Desert Boot appears here in a powder blue design we first saw back in January.  Featuring tonal stitching, orange laces and heel strap and a white sole, these beauties are set to accompany two other pairs later this year.  Vagant has ‘em pegged for a Fall 2009 release, so stick with Sneaker News and we’ll keep you up to date.

Puma Mecha King First Round Monster Pack

It makes perfect sense that the best way to take out Godzilla is with a giant technologically improved robotic Godzilla. Mechagodzilla and the Lizoid King waged some serious battles, destroying a lot of Japanese property in the process and now they are both represented in Puma’s delightful Monster Pack. Like the Lizoid King model, the Mecha King edition also takes the shape of a Puma First Round. This version uses a metallic silver upper with rivet-like bumps to portray the nuts and bolts with red accents to give the indication of Mechagodzilla’s glowing light-up sections and to further hammer home the robotic feel. Similar to the other Monster Pack kicks, these feature an eye in the heel, but unlike the realistic look of the others, the Mecha King, of course, has a mecha-eye. Get these, along with the others, at Overkill now.

Nike Air Jordan Force IX (AJF 9) Charcoal

The Air Jordan Force Fusions have been a polarizing topic with sneakerheads over the last year or so. Purists believe that the originals should never be tampered with, while others are thrilled by two of their favorite sneakers becoming one. While they might not admit it to you, there have been a few Fusions that even the naysayers had to have admired and this latest AJF IX will probably be one of them. In the long-admired black/red/charcoal playoff colorway, this sneaker will likely be one of the most popular Fusion models so far. Aside from the Air Force 1 sole and eyestay panel, the Fusion IX’s stay as true to the original as any model we’ve seen and this color scheme seals the deal. These drop as a limited release on May 9th, but osneaker has some in stock already.

Puma Terror King Stepper Monster Pack

While he may not get the same love as Godzilla or King Kong, King Ghidorah has put in plenty of work himself, earning the title, “King of Terror.” It seems that the terrifying three-headed golden dragon-beast was intimidating enough that Puma knew better than to leave him out of their Monster Pack. The King Ghidorah-inspired Terror King Stepper provides a fitting tribute thanks to a scaly gold upper with black patent accents. Some additional monstrous touches come courtesy of the teeth-shaped notches coming off the eyelets and the Terror King’s three heads embroidered onto the heel. Like the other Puma Monster kicks, you can pick up a pair now at Overkill.

Nike ACG Wild Peg Stealth Black Green
Photos: SucreamUSA

It looks as if 2009 is turning out to be a big year for the return of two of Nike’s classic models. The Air Pegasus and Air Wildwood have both come back in some nice new colorways recently, and while the two models may not have previously had any relation to each other, they have been fused together in one of the better hybrid models in recent memory. We showed you a preview of two ACG Wild Peg colorways back in January and now another has emerged to make us appreciate this fusion model even more. This version features a black and grey upper with a combination of leather and mesh materials. The dark base is offset by some bright green and yellow highlights and a grey midsole that sports the ACG logo. If you like what you see, you can get yours now on eBay.

Nike Womens Air Force 1 Sakura White Metallic Silver

Photos: SucreamUSA

Last week, we showed you some spring Air Force 1 models, including this new Sakura womens Air Force 1, and now we have some new images so you can get a better look at the intricate details that make these kicks so intriguing. You might remember the original Ueno Sakura Air Force 1 from a few years back. It was a big hit and now a new version has just been released.  Like the original, this shoe features a white on white upper with a decorative cherry blossom flower design covering the back half of the shoe. This time around, the flowers are printed in metallic silver with a clear outsole and silver tongue label that keep with the clean color scheme. These will no doubt make for a very nice spring/summer look for the ladies and are available right now on eBay.

ALIFE Spring/Summer 2009 Footwear

ALIFE has let their Spring/Summer 2009 footwear collection trickle out gradually since the turn of the year, and here’s another drop (pun intended).  There are five pairs in all here: the Cup Court once and two each of Everybody Mid Pros and the relatively-new Public Outrage lowtop.  All five feature white mid and outsoles, while the Cup Court is the only one with a white upper (it’s leather).  For the Everybodys, they’re both leather as well, in either blue or red.  Rounding out the bunch are the Public Outrages, which are both canvas; one in blue, the other is yellow.  All five of these will be available soon at ALIFE retailers, including Hanon Shop, who has them now.
