 Gourmet Il Due Zippered Epi Leather

Gourmet done gone and grown up real quick-like.  Once thought of as a brand whose only trick was jockin’ classic Air Jordan designs, the delicious brand has proven the doubters wrong with its upscale line for 2009.  Key among these is the Gourmet Il Due.  Featuring a textured Epi leather upper that zips up the entire upper like a bag, these joints fully realize their French luggage inspiration.  You’ll probably want to leave some room for your foot to slide in when these drop at select Gourmet retailers in the coming weeks.  via Complex

BELOW ARE THE CURRENT LISTINGS FOR THESE KICKS ON EBAY:

    Hmmmm those zippers look like they are gonna chafe the heck outta the ankles, either that or snag socks – especially if ur rockin some fly cashmere socks.

  3. TONYA Says:

    I seen a shoe something like this bac n da early 90s.

    These things remind me of body bags, im just expecting a zombie to pop out.

    these shoes caught my eye, but what I appreciate just as much is that the write-up has flavor! Not the generic or Engrish write-ups on those “hype” streetwear blogs.

    @Chef
    It’s one of those fine-toothed, rounded plastic zippers, so they ain’t gonna rip, and the way they bow out against your ankles effectively prevents chafing for the most part, unless you’re a massive pronator/underpronator

    @Teef
    gracias. I’s blushin’, yo ;) Kicks on Fire likes my work so much that they frequently plagiarize, sometimes down to the word :(
