The Nike KD1, Kevin Durant’s first signature Nike Basketball shoe, looked to KD’s road to the NBA as inspiration for various pieces of the shoe. If you look closely at a pair then you’ll notice the various details that are featured on the shoe that honor where Durant came from. One of the places that Durant chose to create a special colorway for was his High School alma mater, Montrose Christian High School, where a numbrer of McDonald’s All-American players like himself have played at. This KD1 uses the Montrose Christian colors, Pine Green and White, on the shoe’s upper in a suede material, while using a translucent outsole to give the shoe some flair. Additionally instead of finding KD’s college/NBA number, 35, you will see that the number 3 is inscripted on the medial side of the shoe, which happens to be the number KD wore at Montrose. via Osneaker
