If sheer number of releases were the mark of brand dominance, Jordan Brand would have a surprising rival.  Vans has released a ton of new kicks lately and including their premium Vault collection, there’s something for everyone.  We saw their Chukka releases for springtime on Friday.  There was a representative from the questionably named Khaki Pack, one in light beige (this one looks more like ‘khaki’ to us) and another with an eye-poppingly patriotic design.  As it turns out, the last one is part of a pack and today we see the rest.

The Vans Angle Stripe Pack includes the aforementioned Chukka, a pair of Authentics and their classic Slip-Ons.  All Three feature blue toes and tongues to provide a solid jump-off for the crazy red and white staggered stripes.  Throw in white laces (except the Slip-Ons, of course) and the signature white vulcanized rubber sole and these joints represent Vans’ status as American icons.  Ironically enough, we found these at Japanese e-tailer ripe, but you can cop the Chukkas at NYC’s own Dave’s Quality Meats, so we expect them and other nearby Vans retailers to stock the other two pairs soon.
