As the spring turns to summer, Flag Day and Independence Day are both big here in America. Reebok has taken a liking to the US banner and is releasing a flag-inspired pack of Pumps. The Reebok Stars Pack includes a Pump Omni Lite and an Insta Pump Fury. Both feature white soles, red midsoles and blue patent leather emblazoned with white stars. Whether you favour the Pump Omni Lite‘s basketball stylings or the Insta Pump Fury runner, it’s your duty as a citizen to cop. Both are available now at mita sneakers.

The Nike Air Max line has had a long and impressive history of constantly innovating and providing stylish ultra-functional sneakers in the process. The latest offering in the line is the Air Max+ 2009 Running Shoe, a sleek new model with some very nice touches like Flywire technology and a full 360 Air Max sole unit, so you know they will be both lightweight and well-cushioned. The shoe also features a partially transparent upper that reveals the Flywire and a mesh underlayer. Two men’s and two women’s models will make up the initial drop. The fellas will have grey/black/red and silver/volt/black colorways to sink their teeth into, while the ladies versions will come in grey/orange and grey/silver/liquid lime. All four colorways of the men’s Air Max+ 2009 and women’s Air Max+ 2009 will be hitting NikeStore on April 4th but you can pre-order them now.

Here’s yet another elegant addition to the Vans Vault collection. The Half Cab LX pictured above goes for simple style, featuring black suede and nylon joined by white stitching. The use of a metal buckle in place of the eyelet that marks a transition between the lower and upper vamp is a nice touch, and finds an ally in the tan leather lining. Put it all atop a white vulcanized rubber sole and they’re ready to go. Ready to go, indeed, and available now at Flauge.

Back in the early 90′s, Air Huarache’s were all the rage. The running model came first followed by the basketball version and the Trainer in 1992. While a few retro models and new colorways have been released over the years, the Air Trainer Huarache is still a relatively underappreciated shoe. Nike is throwing it back into the rotation with this crisp new colorway. The sneaker features a grey/black upper with royal blue and white accents. Thanks to this new color scheme and the classic strap, cut-out sections and sock-liner, the Air Trainer Huarache has a strong case for a nice comeback. In case you missed them last time around, this new version is available now at JDsports.

The most recent showing of Puma’s RS 100 runner was outside the box (inside the mold, to be precise), but this pack gets back to basics. With the Speckle Pack, Puma uses multicoloured midsoles to contrast tonal uppers. With the shapes of their squiggles reminiscent of the Tetris Pack, these joints are available in light grey, black or dark grey, each with a complimentary palette of speckles. All three are available now at mita sneakers.

The Air Trainer Huarache is apparently returning in numbers. Joining the grey/black/blue model shown earlier will be this nice solid black version. This shoe uses a black on black upper and midsole with some contrasting white stitching that really pops off the shoe and gives this Air Trainer Huarache a unique look from previous versions of the model. A white Nike logo on the strap and some minimal gold accents add some additional highlights to the solid black base color. Like the pair we showed you before, this new and improved blast from the past is in stock now at JDsports.

When it was initially released fifteen years ago, the Puma Disc Blaze’s laceless fastener thrust it into the midst of the high-tech running scene. Nowadays, the distinctive stepper is more of a canvas for Puma’s eccentric designs. These two new pairs are relatively toned-down, with black uppers serving as the jumpoff for yellow or pink enclosures. The pink ones were indefinitely on pre-order from mischief, but they’re available immediately, along with the yellow joints, now at VA.

Yesterday, we gave you a look at the new Nike ACG Air Changste, and it appears that they brought along some company. The Air Rongbuk Hiking Shoe is another new release from Nike’s ACG line, and like the Air Changste, it sports a high-tech modern look and is built for functional performance. The Air Rongbuk features a heavy duty leather/mesh upper with a jagged sole for optimum grip. Two men’s and two women’s models have just arrived at Nike Store. For the men, there will be black/grey/orange and brown/orange/black colorways. The women’s model shown (there is another women’s colorway not pictured.) is similar to the Changste, using a black/grey/pink color scheme. Both men’s and women’s models are available now at Nike Store.

We’ve known about Nike’s Wii Pack for nearly half a year, and the first part is finally ready for its official release. The Nike Air Force II pictured above is an immediate head turner. From the translucent side panel framed in ostrich leather to the Wii-inspired power circle tongue tag, this albino beauty is grounded by the ever popular icey translucent sole. We still don’t know exactly when to expect the similarly-designed Blazer, but the Air Force II is set to drop at retailers like Shelter in the next few days. via Colmilludo
Update: Look for these now at select Nike retailers including nikestore.com.

Just like the Oscar-winning movie from which it takes its subtitle, the Air Jordan Defining Moments Package II (DMP 2) finds it’s main character adding weight and packing a mighty wallop. We have already seen the sick red suede Air Jordan V (5) a few times, and now the questions of whether the other pair will be black or grey, 3M-reflective or not can be settled once and for all. For the record, they’re black and equipped with 3M, as well as the same icey outsole and red-tipped sharksteeth found on the red joints. Take a look at detailed pics after the jump depicting the second half (including 3M in effect) of one of the finest packs we’ve seen, maybe ever. If you just can’t wait, VMV Inc has a few in sample sizes US 8.5 and 9.
