You might remember the preview from January, as Vans Syndicate continued to vamp up their releases in the form of a collaboration featuring the more than classic Half Cab treated by Eric Dressen.  As was promised, these luxe versions of Half Cabs have started to hit Vans Syndicate retailers and with that comes a better look for our readers and a heads up on where you can grab these beauties.

Just in case this is your first time hearing about this Half Cab Pack, Eric Dressen is a two-time winner of the World Street Skate competition and has been given the opportunity to throw his signature to three colorways of high quality Half Cabs.  Along with his John Hancock, Dressen outfitted each of the three pairs with a nice mixture of suede and wool.  Look for these at Vans Syndicate retailers now, including UNIV in Cali who are now taking phone orders.

Madfoot, a Japanese brand focusing on sneaker, has recently dropped it’s Kingston 2, which is moccasin style sneaker with a casual and urban vibe.  Coming in three different colorways (green, black and brown), the Kingston 2 features a suede lining stitched by thick threads between the mid-sole and the all canvas upper.  These are definitely a nice take on your standard moccasin as each shoe features a thick, white mid-sole  and an out-sole that matches each pair’s respective dominant color.  All three pairs are available at Madfoot retailers, including the brand’s own online store.  via SneakerFreaker

When you hear the phrase ‘dirty slip’, a paint spill is probably the last thing that comes to mind.  However the double entendres play out, these are still some worthwhile steppers for the summer.  The Converse Jack Purcell Dirty Slip Pack keeps your mind out of the gutter by drawing inspiration from what else but a messy paint job.  Pigment men all around the world rock canvas trousers and sneaks on the job and these are a sort of final imagination of a hard day’s work, with tonal paint splatters providing texture to the canvas uppers.  These also feature elastic tongues rather than laces so you won’t get tripped up when you try to cop one or all of em from mita.

Nike SB’s second signature shoe will be for another one of their team riders, Stefan Janoski, this upcoming vulcanized skate shoe will be released in the second half of this year and features a simple look to it that makes it very appealing to both skaters and non-skaters. Here is a closer look at one of the upcoming colorways in Obsidian and White. This particular colorway sports a classic American look to it with an Obisidan upper, White midsole and outsole, as well as some hints of Red. While it feels like we see another player exclusive Air Jordan signature sneaker almost every week, they are often nice to see and – sometimes – even inspire hope for some type of release.  Recently, an Air Jordan VIII was seen in colors that have never been seen before on an Air Jordan VIII: black, yellow and navy.  While no information has accompanied the leak of these pictures, it seems like these AJVIIIs were designed with Oakland’s Golden State Warriors’ colors in mind.  Whether these are samples, player exclusives or an idea for what lies ahead is unknown, but we will be sure to keep you posted.  via SC // BOPVI

Vans Vault has made its name using mostly subdued designs, applying premium touches to classic silhouettes.  Looks like Off the Wall’s main product line isn’t be swayed by the toned-down trend and this new set of hightops stands out like the bold print on their tongue tags.  The Vans Sk8-Hi Patent Leather Pack features four shiny pairs in neon colours for those of you who still know how to have fun.  In fact, two of ‘em even favor the PlayStation palette.  All four are available now at Vans retailers including ABC Mart.  via HS

The Air Jordan Force IX is the next AJF Fusion hybrid that will be released and up until now we’ve only seen images of the mid cut version of this Jordan Fusion, now pictures are out of this upcoming AJF IX Low in White, Midnight Navy, and University Blue; a similar colorway to that of one of the original Air Jordan IX’s. In 2006 the Nike SB team created two shoes as a part of a team manager series and Girl Skateboards created this “Gucci” inspired Dunk High Premium that featured a Black, Green, and Red colorway that used a mixture of both denim and premium leathers. The other shoe that was a part of this team manager series was the notorious Nike x Diamond Supply Co. “Tiffany” Dunk Low. Due to the fact that Girl Skateboards is a part of Crailtap, who also has footwear company Lakai under their portfolio of brands, the project was nixed and only about 30 pairs of these shoes made their way outside of the Nike headquarters. Now a couple years later, Nike SB will bring the shoe back in it’s original colorway and materials as a Quickstrike release scheduled for the Holiday 2009 season. via Kenlu

There’s little chance the timing on the previous leaks was coincidental, but who needs coincidence when your design is this good?  For the third time in a week, we’ve received a clearer picture of what the Defining Moments Pack II (DMP2) Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’ edition looks like.  Red suede with tonal stitching looks dope on the upper, but it’s actually a bit darker in person.  Imagine something closer to the red Air Jordan XXI.  A new twist we’ve not seen on AJ5s, the red-tipped teeth inspired by WWII-era Mustang fighter planes pay homage to the similarly hewn Chicago Bulls logo.  These pictures speak for themselves, so click the jump and let us know what you think.  via MarqueeSole//NT

Though many of you are playing PS3 or Wii these days, the hardcore gamers will remember that 2009 marks the 10 year anniversary of Sony’s Japanese release for their indomitable PlayStation 2.  About six years after that, Sony and Nike got together on one of the more sought-after Air Force 1s in history.  To commemorate the DVD-based console’s decade of dominance, a scant 50 pairs of the revamped Playstation 2 Air Force 1 have been distributed to Sony executives and other prominent folks.  Including updates like a streamlined Swoosh and upper made entirely of patent leather, the first pair of this extremely limited run is available on eBay.  via SC

Last month, we saw a cabbie’s take on the Nike Zoom LeBron VI.  Not satisfied to stop with The Six, here’s another House of Hoops exclusive.  The Nike Vandal Low ‘Taxi’ Edition features the obvious white, yellow and black palette you’d expect from a shoe drawing its inspiration from some of NYCs most colourful characters.  Perhaps the most interesting design element is the staggered checkerboard pattern in black and white that evokes both the taxi motif and carbon fibre (as found on the heel of the LeBron VI).  Other nifty details include the ‘Nike Fair’ rate chart on the insole and the on/off duty tongue tag.   Stay tuned to Sneaker News for more details including the release date.  via SC
