A few weeks back, we gave you a look at Puma’s Monster Pack, one of the most creative sneaker design concepts seen in quite a while. When it comes to infamous movie monsters, there is no better place to start than with the Lizoid King himself, Godzilla. This Puma First Round is obviously inspired by everyone’s favorite city stomping beast, using a scaly green upper with red and black accents to bring the concept to life. As if that wasn’t enough, the heel features some scary protruding white teeth and a creepy red reptilian eye to add some menacing cherries on top of this eye-catching model. This design also adds another more subtle touch, altering many of the First Round’s clean lines into jagged organic-looking shapes with the use of some creative stitching. These are expected to be fairly limited, but Overkill has some in stock, so act fast.

As part of the larger Nike Microstripe Pack, the above Air Footscape Woven was not announced until yesterday when LimitedEdt sent out the details. This may be due to the fact that the US is not getting these but that’s not confirmed yet. The Air Footscape Woven is one of the most popular shoes in Asia and amongst serious sneakerheads here in the US has always been slept on. This new colorway is a clean White and Black colorway that features an upper which uses a microstripe pattern similar to that of the Air Max 1 and Air Footscape that were released not too long ago. As mentioned, the Air Footscape Woven is a popular sneaker in Asia and not as much here in the US so these should be at most top accounts in Asia and but no word on a US release just yet. DC and influential womens sneaker retailer, Kendo, have paired to introduce the first womens sneaker in DCs Double Label Retailer Project The Spruce Kendo.
A womans ever evolving sense of style was Kendos inspiration for the unique colorway. The shoe features different reptile skins that have been applied with a lenticular technique to create the impression of an ever changing look. They then paired the animal print with opulent gold, tan and copper colors, and added red for an edgy color pop with the Kendo logo featured on the heel as well as printed on the insole.
Releasing April 1, 2009, the Spruce Kendo will be online at www.kendo-la.com and www.store.dcshoes.com as well as DC retail locations in Los Angeles and Soho.

Hiroshi Fujiwara is back on the honeyee Blog’s and in one of his first posts back he gives us a look at this clean collaboration between Nike and A.P.C. on the All Court using a soft all White leather. This is the second time Nike Sportswear and French label, A.P.C., have gotten together, the first time the collaboration also used the All Court as the model of choice. Three canvas colorways were released earlier this year when the two brands collaborated for the first time. Look for this new collaboration All Court in leather to be released soon. via HF

As promised, here is the other newly revealed pair of Nike Air Griffey Max 1s. This time, the black throwbacks reference Junior’s short stint with the Chicago White Sox. These joints feature a similar upper to the earlier pair, but gone are all traces of white or red. Instead, we get a blacked-out pair that will also release this winter. Check back with Sneaker News for updates. via Foot Locker

We’ve seen some classy joints from Gourmet lately, highlighted by their brilliant reappropriation of French Epi leather. The three kicks featured in that collection, the L’Uno, Il Duo and Il Tre are all back in 6oz. canvas for Spring/Summer 2009. We see L’Uno twice: black or white, Il Due in grey or black and Il Tre appears in white with bright yellow and teal brothers. Bonus points to any Italian-speaking sneakerheads who know why the Uno features the prefix L’, wihle the other pairs say ‘the’ with ‘Il’, but the points aren’t redeemable when you cop these now at Gourmet’s e-store or any of their retailers.

When we posted a couple different colours of these a while back, sneakerheads clamored for a pair each in Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox colours. In this post, we’ll show you the former (be sure to catch the ‘White Sox’ do-up later today, here on Sneaker News). The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 is a dope throwback to mid-90s styling with its multitude of visible Air and chunky cross-trainer construction. These feature an all black upper with a mostly white midsole and red accents throughout. We’re expecting these for Winter 2009, so rest assured we’ll bring you new pictures and info as time rolls on. via Foot Locker

As the Cleveland Cavaliers march toward the NBA postseason riding a huge wave of momentum and a 12-game winning streak, they’re about to lock up home court advantage. We saw several pairs of LeBron James’ playoff shoe, including two pairs recently in different combinations of black, white and red. These newest joints feature a different take on the Cavs’ palette. The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier III pictured above is heavy on navy blue and white with red accents. These are our first looks at the ZLSIII with its velcro straps undone, and from the looks of these, this home colourway is as much a sure bet as the Cavs at Quicken Loans Arena (they’re an amazing 35-1 at home thusfar). Take a look at all the pics and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via MJ23KB24LB23 on SC Forum

Boing! Hard to believe it’s been nearly a ten-spot since the Nike Shox BB4 quite literally rose to fame upon vince Carter’s rarely-grounded feet. VC went through several pairs of signature Shox since he authored the ultimate posterization of Frederic Weis. The fact that we even remember the seven foot-plus Frenchman’s name is a testament to the sheer ferocity of the original ‘That Ain’t Right’. Vinsanity has been slowed by a few knee injuries, but you can relive the glory days with this clean pair of retros. Appearing in a white and silver design with blue Shox and other accents, these will drop at Foot Locker on April 18.

A key member of the NYX casual kicks collection, the Nike Blazer is seeing a new release soon after several other dope drops. This Blazer High features something of a ‘warm PS3‘ look. Atop a black suede upper, we see a bright red Swoosh and tongue tag along with yellow sock lining. The standout feature is the heel tab, which fades from the lining’s colour to blaze orange. This makes for a nice transition into the deep red heel stripe, and this effect is duplicated on the translucent outsole. Much safer than forcing your PlayStation to overheat, these joints are available now at FinishLine.
