Supra has diversified their collection quite a bit lately, but there’s no questioning that the Skytop is the one that started it all. The shoe that ignited the super-highcut trend is back in a hard rocking limited edition. This Supra Skytop NS finds accents for the black patent leather upper in the punkish studs on both sides and the heel strap. These aren’t made for skating, and if you know better than to brainlessly rock them with a studded belt, they’ll make a clean fit for summer. Your author has been gushing about Vans Vault since, well, since they started pumping out elegant editions of skate favorites. When they showed off their Spring/Summer 2009 collection at nearly a hundred strong, it was almost overwhealming to think of which ones you’d want/need to cop. Luckily for us sneakerheads, they’re coming out gradually. Here today are eight new pairs. There are five new Sk8-His: two in black and three more exotic pairs featuring unicycling elephants patterned on the side panels. There’s a pair of Caballeros in black and orange and two pairs of satiny nylon Mt. Editions round out the bunch. All eight are available now at select Vans Vault retailers like Beatnic.

adidas has released a bunch of new kicks this year with all manner of stripes beyond their typical trifecta. This new pair of adidas Superstar Vintages offer variations on both. Appearing in metallic silver leather, these are solid on the front and sides and feature a herringbone pattern on the rear quarter/heel area. Add in the two white/one red combo on their signature Three Stripes and these manage to throw a new twist on this icon of hip-hop style. If you feel these, cop em from atmos.

The Puma RS100 is a low-profile runner that we’ve seen in a ton of colourways, including a stint at the Mongolian BBQ online customization kitchen. The design has now been used to create a super-efficient foam injected sneaker that’s highly reminiscent of Crocs. The cross-country hatred between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers is perhaps the most storied rivalry in NBA history. LeBron just torched the Kings for 51, but he’s got a long way to go before he matches Michael Jordan’s 30 career 50-point games. His prolific scoring was key among the reasons MJ is considered by many the greatest baller ever and Jordan Brand’s prolific releases keep his legacy in the spotlight. As part of the second Defining Moments Pack (DMP2), JB will release the Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’. Appearing in red suede with black and grey accents, these look almost like samples or variants. A closer glance thanks to these detailed pics reveals a lush suede and fine stitching that reflect the pinnacle of Jordan Brand quality. LeBron James’ sixth signature Nike is fittingly tank-like and appears to be nearly indestructible. King James has the unstoppable combination of being faster than those larger than him and larger than those as fast and the Nike Zoom Lebron VI reflects his ability to bang it out in the post. One of the key features is the triple-stitched midsole. The Low version we showed you a few weeks back eschews this rugged construction for a more familiar single stitch, but this sample splits the difference.
Continuing Nike’s Year of Nylon, this pair appears in tonal olive green. The canvas-like nylon underlay is accented with ripstop on the forefoot strap and heel along with tumbled leather on the swoosh and heel tab. There are two stitches on the midsole instead of one or three. These are a sample, so it’s unclear as to how many will be used in the production release, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for updates. via NLB

No one will confuse Ato Matsumoto sneakers with any other brand. So far, most of what we’ve seen have been flashy hightops that incorporate alot of Velcro. These new joints eschew the hook and loop but do nothing to make themselves less distinct. The Ato Matsumoto Original Leather series features three lowtops masquerading as the super high cut kicks du jour. Each is styled in rich leather with tonal suede overlays and derives its signature look from the extended tongue and eyelets that make them look high from the front but more like the typical lowtop height around the ankle/heel. According to our Air Jordan Release Dates page and and the jumpman23.com the above eleven sneakers are scheduled to be available at Air Jordan retailers this Saturday March 14th, 2009. They release include the Air Jordan 1 Sapphire, Sonics Pack Six Rings and Air Jordan 1 Low, a AJF 6 5/8, four pairs of CP3.II and a few others. All of the above should be available at Air Jordan retailers tomorrow and most will be on nikestore.com early morning.

Nike is well aware that many sneakerheads are as passionate about their video gaming as they are about their kicks. Nike has already released sneakers inspired by classic Nintendo and Playstation imagery and now they will turn their attention to the Nintendo Wii for a special pack that will be releasing this summer. One of the models that will be getting the Wii treatment is this crisp Blazer. The shoe features a solid white upper with several subtle and not-so-subtle nods to the Nintendo gaming system. Orange stitching and a Nike on/off tongue logo combine with a blue-tinted clear sole and transparent microchip printed lacing panels to really convey the feel of the Nintendo Wii design. The shoe also sports some white ostrich material on the heel and laces that are similar to the strap from the Wii controllers. Look for these to drop this summer with the other pieces of the Wii pack and stay tuned for more previews and release info.
