The little used chlorophyll colourway is one of the most beloved versions of the Nike Air Trainer 1. We saw the Trainer hybridized with an Air Max 90 yesterday, so what would happen if it was the 1987 edition instead, PLUS Flywire? As crazy as it sounds, the Nike Air Max 1 Flywire hybrid, or Nike Air Maxim 1 as it’s now called, has itself been crossed with the Air Trainer 1 in this Frankenstein hybrid. Unlike Mary Shelley’s monster, these joints are quite aesthetically pleasing, though they might take a bite out of your wallet. A salesman’s sample, these are only available in US men’s size 9, and only if you get over to eBay fast!

a velcro lateral movement strap is useless on a running outsole, especially without an outrigger. hybrids lack any true functionality. real shoe designers would have these in the trash long before ever getting to the point of samples, let alone a release. I’m sad hybrids are given the credit among buyers

The purpose of hybrids is not to be functional, It’s sports “inspired”.. like how many people actually hoop in Jordan retro’s anymore…like 20% tops, for better or worse it’s all fashion, and in economic down times, Nike’s just trying to make something hot.
