The New Balance 575 trail runner has shown us some dope new designs this month.  Not the least of these standout models is the New Balance M575J Advantage Timber Pack.  These feature green or yellow mesh underlays, over which Bill Jordan’s photorelaistic camoflauge patterns are applied.  Throw in some black patent leather on the toe, and these will make a perfect compliment for your Carhartt gear.  Set to drop stateside to select New Balance Lifestyle accounts soon, these joints are available now from Japan’s VA.

We’re not sure if the Asics Gel Lyte III actually owns the standard for most colourways in any running shoe, but it’s clear the company owns one record.  On October 7, 2008, they more than doubled the previous mark and to this date are the owners of the Guinness World Record for Largest Lite-Brite Picture.  Their massive pegboard depicted a neon palette on the Gel Lyte III using the original hues from Hasbro’s classic toy, and those same shades are now set to see the light of day.  The Gel Lyte IIIs above are set to drop this fall, so stick with Sneaker News and we’ll keep you up to date on their release, along with any other ingenious marketing efforts.  via FRESHNESS

Nike has some real treats for the ladies this season, already dropping numerous fresh styles in women’s sizes and with many more waiting in the wings. One of the latest models to hit stores is this extra-flashy Metallic Silver Vandal High. The shoe features a super-shiny silver material on the entire upper, giving the shoe a bold look that still maintains some simplicity thanks to the solid color scheme. Aside from the white midsole and ankle strap, the only other accent color comes by way of the pale yellow laces, which add a nice touch of color to the mix. Here’s the full story; the director’s cut, if you will.  The Undefeated x Stussy x madhectic New Balance MT580 Full Metallic Jacket pack is available for pre-order from Deep Inside Inc.  You already knew that. The new information is that they might be reselling these joints, because the official release date is Saturday, April 25th (four days before DII will have em).  If you haven’t already blown your brains out because of the confusion, all three shiny military-inspired sneakers and two matching t-shirts will be available this Saturday at all UNDFTD chapter and web stores.

The New Balance 455 was first introduced as a trail running sneaker way back in 1979, and somehow it has taken thirty years for the shoe to finally be released in the States. The New Balance 455 is a lightweight, yet rugged model with a classic look that is still as relevant today as it was when it first appeared three decades ago. The shoe features a suede upper with a durable nylon underlay and an outsole that is built for superior traction. There will be six colorways of the New Balance U455 released this spring with a varied assortment of interesting color combinations to choose from. The ladies have had quite a few Dunk High releases to sink their teeth into as of late, and this new colorway promises to be among the flashiest of the current batch. If the words metallic snakeskin don’t grab you, we don’t know what will. This Dunk High uses a relatively simple color scheme that is livened up by some pretty flashy materials. The shoe features several materials on the upper, from the mesh side and ankle panels to the nubuck toe box and tongue, but the show stealer is of course the metallic silver synthetic snakeskin that covers the mudguard, heel and eyelet sections. This Dunk also sports a turquoise Swoosh and a white midsole with light grey used on the outsole and laces and also boasts Zoom Air technology for improved comfort. Above is one of the first colorways to release of the Hyperdunk for the big man, the Hypermax inspired by a player who was so tenacious in playing over his height down on the block that he earned the moniker ‘The Round Mound of Rebound’. Featuring an image of his Air Max2 CB 34, this Hypermax captures ‘Sir’ Charles Barkley’s irreverent persona with the proclamation, “So technologically advanced, you won’t understand it.”  The upper is a nice combination of grey, black and red with a bright yellow and blue highlight the rest of the sneaker. A little while ago, we showed you the Jackie Robinson-inspired Air Max Griffey Swingman Remix and now we finally get an up close look at the Dark Grey/White pair from the Jackie Robinson Blazer High Pack.  The shoe features a variety of materials, such as the Dark Grey suede upper with sections of smooth leather on the eyelet panels and the toe box, as well as a grey mesh tongue. The tongue label sports a red Brooklyn tag that really stands out and the broken line effect that is spreading outward from the Swoosh and midsole could very well be meant to symbolize Jackie’s breaking of the color lines. Additional accents come by way of the white midsole, laces and lining, giving this shoe a clean look with a bit of a wild edge. In general, many of Nike’s latest Air Force 1 models have taken a back-to-basics approach, using simple white uppers with minimal accents. This model, however, has chosen to liven things back up a little with some bright eye-grabbing color. You may have seen the Air Force 1 x Huarache that also features a similar color scheme, but these switch up the color blocking a bit. The shoe uses a simple black leather upper with a white midsole, lining and laces. Vibrant Mean Green accents on the Swoosh and outsole provide strong contrast against the black/white base and hints of royal blue can be found on the tongue label and the midsole “AIR” logo. Like the Air Max Light that we showed you earlier, this colorway is a JDsports exclusive, so don’t hesitate because that’s the only place you’ll find them.

As the world’s current best pound for pound boxer prepares for his next bout on May 2nd, sneaker lovers should also be preparing for the release of a special shoe between him, Manny Pacquiao, and Nike. Pacquiao a Nike sponsored athlete, collaborated with the brand on a newly designer Air Trainer 1 in a White, Varsity Red, and Gold colorway that features his logo on the heel. The Air Trainer 1 is a new Cross Training shoe designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield. Manny and his friends and family were given 100 pairs by Nike while the other 100 in existence will be sold at Niketown San Francisco and Las Vegas, UNDFTD Las Vegas, and Fatlace (San Francisco). The shoes will be released on Saturday, May 2nd, the same day as Pacquiao’s fight with Ricky Hatton. The May 2009 lineup from Nike SB is one of the strongest we’ve seen in a long time.  Among the big hits here are the ‘Band Aid’-like Dunk Low Pros along with another lowtop Dunk in grey, blue, black and orange.  The assortment of Dunks is rounded out with a pair of Mids perfect for Laker fans.  While Dunks might be the most successful SB shoe, the new (and last) pair of P-Rod IIs in a Supreme-like colourway might be the most pleasing out of the entire bunch.  There’s also a pair each of Zoom Tre ADs, Veloces and Zoom Harbors.  You can see all six after the jump, then head to CCS to cop them now.

The Vans Vault collection has produced hit after hit since being introduced a few years ago, so we have lofty expectations for their latest sub-label.  The Vans Surf line offers a nice alternative for sandals when you’re seeking that sandy look.  Here are five new sneakers from the line, make up of four distinct models.  The 106 SF bridges the gap between Off the Wall’s skate heritage and this new line with a Chukka-like skate silhouette made of organic canvas.  The new Santa Ana appears in all white, its loafer inspirations quite evident.  We see two new pairs of the moc-toed Rafa Plus.  One features a Wallabee-like toe in charcoal suede, while the other is a stripped down zigzag-pattern textile.  Another Chukka-like boot, the Cojo finishes out this set with a ripstop upper topping a crepe sole.  All five of these, plus the Eco Authentics we showed you earlier today are available now at Extra Butter.
