Earlier today, we gave you a look at the Asics Gel Lyte III in the fresh new “Super Blue” colorway and now we have some images of the Gel Lyte III’s successor, the Gel Lyte Speed. The Gel Lyte Speed was originally introduced in Europe and the U.S. back in 1991 as an even lighter running alternative to the popular Gel Lyte III model. The design of the shoe was stripped down and modified for improved running performance, but still managed to retain certain style elements like the split tongue. Last month, we showed you a sneak preview of this colorway along with two other new Gel Lyte Speed styles that will be hitting stores this spring and now we have a detailed look for you. This colorway features a black leather/mesh upper with touches of white and grey and a healthy dose of turquoise accents. The different colors combine for a striking look that is capped off by the inclusion of a speckled spray on part of the midsole and the inclusion of a second set of multi-colored matching laces. These are expected to drop some time next week in limited quantities, so be sure to hit up your local Asics accounts to get yours before they’re gone. Via Endorsed.

Jackie Robinson’s legacy is still going strong as people continue to honor his memory more than 60 years after he helped to smash the color barriers of Major League Baseball. Robinson was recently honored by having his name used for the rotunda entrance of the New York Mets’ new Citi Field and also on a special pack of Nike Blazers that we saw last week. Apparently, Nike had more up their sleeves to pay tribute to the man, and this time with more of a baseball connection. The Air Max Griffey Swingman Remix, which is an altered version of the Griffey Max II, has been re-designed with a Jackie Robinson theme, incorporating a royal blue/grey/white color scheme to capture the Brooklyn Dodgers feel, as well as a few other personal touches. Robinson’s number 42 appears in red on the back of both heels and the date “4-15-47″ is featured on the insole to commemorate the day Jackie first made history. There is no word yet on a release, but stay tuned and we’ll keep you up to date on that info. Via TheShoeGame.

Last week, we showed you the spring colorways of Vans’ new Supercorsa model and now we get a look at what’s in store for the shoe this fall. These fall versions flaunt an entirely different look from the spring kicks, making them hardly even look like the same shoe. The spring Supercorsas featured an upscale-looking perforation design throughout the upper, and although these new models also sport a lux aesthetic, the similarities pretty much end there. The fall Supercorsa editions sport premium woven leather uppers and will be available in black, white and olive colorways, all with subtle, yet colorful accent stripes and Vans logo tabs. This is a classier and more sophisticated style than we usually see from Vans and these will be a nice option when they drop this fall. Via MarcusTroy.

By now, you have probably already seen several of the upcoming Zoom LeBron VI Low colorways. We just showed you the white/black/red and white/black/turquoise versions last week, as well as the green nylon and white/grey models from a few months back. The ongoing theme has been simplicity and this new white/black colorway seems to follow suit. Although the color scheme on these is very basic, some nice style touches are added to spice things up a bit. The mudguard and Swoosh are covered with black patent leather and the heel, ankle and eyelet sections feature a textured black pebbled leather. Also, the tongue sports elaborate LeBron logo branding and the embossed lion head on the heel adds the icing on the cake. Look for these to hit select Nike retailers on June 1st. Via Kenlu.

Just when you thought it doesn’t get much higher than the Skytop, Supra offers a new surprise. The Supra TK Terry Kennedy Pro Model appears here in a neck-breaking tonal purple suede construction. Laces go up to where the typical midtop would end, but these keep going with two fat velcro straps covering the laces the rest of the way up, well above the average ankle height. These joints feature perforated suede and mesh on the rear quarter/heel and ankle areas, respectively, to break up the sea of violet. All of this rides Supra’s signature double-striped vulcanized rubber sole. No word yet on an official release date. Stick with Sneaker News for updates. via SupraFootwear.org

The Air Max Light has long been overshadowed by more prominent Air Max classics, but after taking a look at the new colorways that have been popping up lately, there is a good chance that we will be seeing a lot more of this classic style on people’s feet. Yesterday, we showed you three very nice new Air Max Light colorways that will be hitting stores next month, but now we get news that this White/Dark Grey/Max Orange edition has just been released. The shoe features a suede Light Grey/Dark Grey upper with a White mesh toe box and bright Max Orange accents giving it something of an Infrared Air Max 90 feel, but maintaining its own personality. A clean white midsole and white laces complete the look, making this Air Max Light colorway one of the best we’ve seen. If you agree, you can get over to JDsports now to pick up a pair, because they will be the only store to receive this exclusive colorway.

David Z.’s own Ronnie Feig has just teamed up with Asics now for the eighth time on a new Gel Lyte III exclusive. The Gel Lyte III has recently become a very popular style again and this fresh new version has the shoe looking as good as ever with upgraded materials and a very crisp colorway. These kicks feature two contrasting shades of grey on various parts of the upper, with “Super Blue” nubuck highlights, as well as a perforated toebox. The midsole features some black accents with grey speckled sections towards the front and back. These stunners are limited to only 252 pairs and will be available through the David Z. online store and at their flagship store in NYC beginning May 1st. Via CultureShoq.

For the green in all of us, here are a few more from Vans Vault’s Eco collection. These new pairs of Authentics feature heavily cobbled woven uppers that, like the boxes you’ll buy them in, are made of Earth-friendly renewable resources. There’s one pair in fuschia and another in black. Both feature the Eco collection’s signature Vans logo wherein the ‘A’ is replaced by a tree and the whole word is green. You can cop these now, guilt-free from DQM.
