Nike Zoom Classic SB Dark Teal White

The Nike Zoom Classic SB is pretty much what you would expect from a shoe called the “Classic.” It features a simple design with a timeless look, but has been upgraded with Zoom Air technology and some durability enhancements as a part of Nike’s SB line. We have seen the Classic SB in a variety of colorways already, but most stay fairly conservative compared to this bolder Dark Teal/White model. The shoe features a suede teal upper with a white Swoosh and midsole, but some additional flavor is supplied by some colorful accents. This Zoom Classic SB sports a red outsole and lining and yellow piping around the tongue and on the stitching of the midsole. There is also a green snakeskin heel panel that features the Nike SB logo in white. If you are feeling these, you can go ahead and pick up a pair now at icefield.

Nike 2009 Future Sole Sneaker Design Competition

Nike is always on the lookout for the next generation of footwear designers, and thanks to their Future Sole design competition, young up-and-comers get a chance to show off their skills. Last year’s contest was a big hit, using a Flight/Force theme to bring new ideas to life. The competition is back for 2009 and this time around there will be both Nike and Jordan design categories. The contest will be open to high school students between the ages of 14 and 19 with a restriction of only one sneaker design per applicant for each category. You can get more info on rules and submissions from Nike Future Sole and you can check out a look at last year’s winners after the jump.

New Balance M579J Limited Edition

New Balance has been dropping a lot of bold colorful styles lately and this M579J Limited Edition pack is a nice addition to the line-up. The pack features two colorways, both with a healthy dose of vibrant color. The kicks feature a mix of materials, using smooth leather, suede and mesh to construct the uppers. One colorway features an eye-catching yellow/pink/blue/grey color scheme, with the other version sporting a slightly more subdued purple/turquoise/green/grey combination. Aside from the color, the other noticeable attribute of the M579J Limited Edition is a more modernized lacing system than we’re used to seeing on traditional New Balance models. If you are in the market for some wild spring styles, you can pick up either one or both now at ripe. You can get a better look at both colorways after the jump.

Nike Lunar Mariah TZ True White Ultramarine Perfect Pink

One of Nike Sportswear’s ideas is to mix the Nike heritage from the past with Nike innovation of today, this idea of creating hybrid products has become a reality with the newest Tier Zero Nike Sportswear release, the Nike Lunar Mariah TZ, which comes in a retro colorway of True White, Ultramarine, and Perfect Pink, similar to that of colorways of Nike Running shoes from the 1980′s. The Nike Lunar Mariah fuses the upper of the Air Mariah which was originally released by Nike in the late 1980′s with the LunaRacer outsole; the LunaRacer of course was introduced last year around the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The Nike Lunar Mariah is a perfect example of combining heritage with innovation. Available at select Nike Tier Zero retailers. Via Freshness

Nike Air Max 90 White Croc Skin

So many Air Max 90 colorways are dropping left and right these days that it takes something pretty special to stop us in our tracks. This super-limited white crocodile skin leather pair is something to behold, and the reasons are simple. Besides the obvious rarity and general croc skin excitement, the textured markings give this Air Max 90 a different kind of look than we’ve ever really seen before. Sure, we have seen every panel of the shoe in every possible color, but rarely have we ever seen an all over-type print to give the almost 20 year old shoe a brand new look. The off-white color of the croc skin is beautifully contrasted by a clean white midsole and accents and the croc skin tongue label provides an extra cherry on top. As mentioned earlier, these kicks are extremely rare and will not be released for retail. It looks like only Nike friends and family are getting this one, but if you’re willing to drop some dough, MentalKicks were lucky enough to land a pair and Osneaker is expected to get them by Monday.

Nike Considered Zoom MVP Trash Talk House of Hoops Exclusive

Steve Nash probably isn’t the first player that comes to mind when thinking of those who jaw at their opponents on-court.  Despite his calm demeanor, Nash will be remembered for a bunch of ‘Trash Talk’.  The release of the Nike Zoom MVP Trash Talk shows as much forward thinking as his world-class court vision.  Constructed of leather and synthetics collected as waste from other designs, these joints also employ an outsole made of environmentally-friendly rubber and 100% recycled sockliners.

This edition of the Zoom MVP furthers Nike’s Considered Design initiative by utilizing 100% recycled fibers like the orange box launched by Beaverton back in 1995.  The difference with this one is that the new design decreases the use of that fiber by nearly 30%, which should reduce their annual use of cardboard by the equivalent of 200,000 trees when it’s made standard for all releases in 2011.  These joints are set to drop as a House of Hoops exclusive on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd.  via FRESHNESS

Lemar and Dauley x DC Xander Double Label Project

Not that either of the previous collaborations were anything to scoff at, but this third time is ever so charming.  The Lemar and Dauley x DC Xander is inspired by tennis: both the game and its courts.  This pair is made mostly of rich suede plus a few tonal accents.  The mesh on the tongue and swooping down from the collar through the rear quarter evokes the strings, as do the translucent soles.  Leather trim on the tongue and piping around the rear mesh insert and eyelets is said to symbolize the raquet handles, while insole graphics depict a tennis match to complete the theme.  These joints are set to drop at all DC LIFE retailers worldwide on May 1, 2009.

Converse Pro Leather OX 76 White Beige Woven

While overshadowed by the timeless Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell, the Converse Pro Leather OX 76 is a classic in its own right.  Appearing here in white and beige, these joints have a nice springy feel.  Throw in the corded laces and there’s a touch of class too.  They avoid being boring by featuring woven side panels to maximize the slight contrast between the pair of subdued hues.  If you still need some white steppers for summer, cop these now from Shoe Planet.

Nike Terminator Low Supreme White Heavy Metal Pack

Last year’s Rock N’ Roll Pack was a very creative concept and turned out to be a big hit. The black metal-studded Terminator and Vandal High models added some rocker edge to two Nike classics and now the theme is back, but this time in white leather.  We have already shown you a preview of the white Vandal High model and now we give you a detailed look at the Terminator Low Supreme from the Heavy Metal pack. The shoe features a simple enough clean white color scheme with a combination of leather and mesh covering the upper, but it’s the metallic silver studs that really give these kicks some personality. The very-heavy metal studs can be found on the heel and and beneath the silver tongue label and are even used as a lace lock. This Terminator Low also sports some shiny silver eyelet holes and a Nike logo on the heel in the same AC/DC-like font that was seen on the Vandal. As an added touch, these head-turners also come with a guitar pick shaped hang tag that features the Nike logo on one side and “Terminator” in script on the other. There is no official release information at the moment, but stay tuned because they should be dropping soon. Via nitrolicious

Swagger x Nike Terminator High Supreme

We got a glimpse at these two weeks ago, and these new pictures give us a better idea of what to expect from this superstar collaboration.  It’s clear from these new images that the Nike Terminator High Supreme Directed by Swagger is in fact one pair of shoes comprised of two different coloured kicks.  Both rock a shiny faux-croc material, with teh left shoe in mohagany and the right in turquoise.  These pics also show that the humongous lacelocks say ‘SWG’, as opposed to our first impression that suggested ‘SWAG’.  We can see these becoming the next big collaboration to fill the vacuum the Nike Air Yeezy will leave after the various releases conclude, so you can count on Sneaker News to bring you new pics and information as soon as we know more.  Via LacedMag

atmos x Reebok Pump Omni Lite Candy Polka Dots

It looks like the trend of candy-inspired sneakers will continue.  In their latest collaboration, the atmos x Reebok Pump Omni Lite Polka Dot draws design cues from those gooey gumdrops that appear with the shoes in these pictures.  Like the New Balance joints released last month, these have a purple base through which the rainbow-dotted underlay peeks.  Throw in neon green Pumps and eyelet waves and these scream ‘Sour Patch Kids’.  No word on the exact release date yet, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via HB
