A few weeks ago, you saw these White/Varsity Maize Air Force 1′s as part of our April/May Air Force 1 preview. These kicks take a back to basics approach, giving this model a classic look that is just as fresh now as it was for the last 20-plus years. The shoe features a clean White upper with Varsity Maize highlights appearing on the Swoosh and outsole, as well as the Nike Air logo prints on the tongue label, heel panel and midsole. With so many crazy Air Force 1 colorways circulating nowadays, this model offers a nice simple look that brings the attention back to the classic silhouette. The Nike Blazer has a fine tradition of its own, but for this new pack, Nike will be paying tribute to another important piece of history. The legendary Jackie Robinson is honored with three Nike Blazer High models that feature some nods to Jackie and the Brooklyn Dodgers. Three colorways are offered in the pack with solid colored uppers that feature a tonal Brooklyn Dodgers “B” pattern on the side and a Brooklyn tongue label. The most notable attribute of these kicks is a creative shout out to the man himself, using blurred and broken lines around the Swoosh, midsole and heel panel to symbolize the barriers broken by Jackie Robinson. These kicks are not only fresh to look at, but unlike most other sneakers, they have some real meaning behind them. They are hitting stores as we speak in blue, red and dark grey colorways. Asics’ classic Gel Lyte III model has made a huge comeback in the last year or so and it’s easy to see why. Aside from its slick appearance, the Gel Lyte III is also an extremely lightweight and comfortable performance running shoe and the super-cool split tongue design provides the icing on the cake. While we have seen numerous colorful versions released recently, this latest model is definitely one of the boldest yet. The shoe uses a very nice color scheme with a white mesh underlay surrounded by gold leather sections and some navy patent panels and accents. Puma is no stranger to collaborations with high-end fashion labels like Alexander McQueen and Sergio Rossi and now this new project with Yves Saint Laurent may be the best of the bunch. This high top model features a very sleek look with elements of a boot, sneaker and moccasin-style dress shoe combined into one stylish model. The shoe will be released in two different colorways. One model features a suede upper with several shades of grey covering the shoe from top to bottom. The other model sports a black on black color scheme with premium leather covering the upper. These will only be available in the U.S. through the YSL online shop, but both colorways will be released at Yves Saint Laurent boutiques throughout the rest of the world. Via Hypebeast.

By now, Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design collaboration with Nike on the Tier Zero edition of the Air Footscape is well documented. We already previewed the Obsidian and Chile Red versions, as well as the upcoming July Footscape releases. Last week we showed you some new images of the Obsidian colorway and now we have some close-up looks at the Chile Red/Neutral Grey/Black model. The shoe features a bright Chile Red upper with a Neutral Grey toe section and Black trim and accents. A clean white midsole and black outsole round out the color scheme with a white fragment logo appearing on the heel tab. Marc Jacobs has done some interesting work for Vans over the years and now he’s putting a little ink on his own kicks. These Marc Jacobs hightops remind one of Chucks with their inner ankle patch, but add a heel strap and eschew the toe cap. The result is a white leather hightop that features grade-school like drawings and a bunch of text we can’t quite make out. With the simplicity of the Blazer design, Nike has a lot of options for spicing up the upper and have recently begun experimenting with decorative stitching. You may remember seeing the recent Black/Neo-Turquoise Ice Breaker edition, and now this latest Blazer Mid ND uses the same design, but with a different color scheme. The shoe keeps it pretty clean with a solid white leather upper and midsole with Neutral Grey sections on the toe and heel. The highlight of the shoe however are the purple accents which appear on the laces, heel logo and on the pointed stitching pattern that appears across the entire side of the upper. Maybe the combination to the Vans Vault is 1-1-1, cos these joints are as beautiful as simple gets. This new Sk8-Hi features a nice baby blue construction.
