Air Jordan Jeter Captain Black White

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was Jordan Brand’s first non-basketball athlete and his latest cross-trainer has just released.  The Air Jordan Jeter Captain gets its name from the heart and soul of four World Series champion teams.  Favoring a more neutral black and white colourway instead of the Yanks’ traditional navy blue and white, these joints keep the Bronx Bombers’ signature pinstripes on the underlay.  These feature visible Air in the heel and a rugged outsole perfect for all types of athletic endeavors, and are available now from Sneakerhead.

Color: Black/White-Metallic Silver

Nike Air Force 1 Low Womens Purple Sakura White

The flowery Sakura pattern is back in a big way.  This is the latest in a line of Nike Air Force 1 Womens releases to utilize the familiar print.  Instead of wrapping the petal pattern around the rear quarter, these joints find the flowers on the side panels.  It’s a contrast of deep and light purple, whereas the rest of the shoe is done in deep purple leather.  Throw in white laces, Swoosh, heel tab and midsoles, and this is a well balanced effort.  Dainty feet can have these now from Sneakerhead.

Color: Varsity Purple/White-Light Purple

Nike Air Max 95 + Sky Force High Wii Pack

The Nintendo Wii is occupying a hefty market share in video game console sales despite its dated graphics because of the amazingly fun motion-sensitive controllers.  We already saw two members of this pack release that were aesthetically impressive enough to stop you in your tracks and here is another pair of new pairs.  The Nike Air Max 95 and Sky Force High pictured above are both inspired by Nintendo’s wonderful white box.

The AM95s go the clean route by laying a silver mesh over the white patent leather upper, while using silver for other accents.  The classic runner has a translucent sole like the Sky Force, but the old school basketball hightop adds orange outlines to the Swoosh, eyelets and tongue logo (which is shaped like the Wii’s power button).  Throw in an embossed safari print on the side panels and circuit board-like laser etching around the ankle area, and you have some room to move between these two choices.  These are available now, and we’ve seen them at retailers like Proper.

Converse Chuck Taylor Multi Zip Hi Chocolate

Just when you think you’ve seen everything possible on a Chuck Taylor model, Converse goes back to the drawing board and ensures that the iconic style keeps evolving. This latest Chuck Taylor Mult Zip Hi features some pretty interesting style touches to ensure that they stand out from the rest. The upper is constructed from premium brown leather that is splattered with spots of black paint. As if that wasn’t enough, the shoe also features four horizontal zippers around the heel area that, when unzipped, reveal a bright orange underlay. These Chuck’s also sport some metallic copper eyelet holes, as well as an off-white midsole and toe cap. You can pick up a pair of these ultra-stylish All-Stars now at Sneakerhead.

Air Jordan April 11th Release Reminder

Some eagerly anticipated Air Jordan models are scheduled to drop tomorrow. Two Air Jordan Force Fusion IX models and two Air Jordan I Retro’s will create a real dilemma for sneakerheads as they try to make some tough decisions on which kicks to cop. The talk of the day will be the “Hare” Jordan Retro Premier models, which will drop in two colorways, one for men and the other limited to girl’s (GS) sizes. The AJF 9 is giving Fusion models a good name thanks to its tendencies to stay true to the original Air Jordan IX design. The Air Jordan Force IX will be available beginning tomorrow in White/Black/Varsity Red and White/Black/University Blue, both conjuring up some classic Jordan flavor. If need be, use the rest of the night to mull over the difficult choice, but be advised that all four are limited releases and you might not find them at retail price for long.

Air Jordan 1 Retro Summer 09 Collection

Yesterday, we gave you a look at a new Air Yeezy colorway that was on display at the opening of Nike’s TPE 6453 boutique in Taipei, and although the Yeezy’s may have stolen the spotlight, there were plenty of other unlocked treasures to be seen. The Air Jordan I has been getting some serious love lately, appearing in countless new colorways of the high and low models, and after seeing the summer collection, it is clear that there is no plan to slow it down. Several new Air Jordan I models were exhibited, including three new polka-dotted Low Phat versions, a black/aqua High Strap and three other Retro High versions, one with a black base and red/gold highlights, one with a black and grey upper with sections of wrinkled leather and also the khaki/navy pair we have already previewed. The entire collection is expected to drop this summer, but stay tuned for the specific release information. Via Kenlu.

Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier III Dunkman @ HOH Tomorrow

Last week, we gave you a look at the new Zoom LeBron Soldier III in the beloved “Dunkman” colorway, and now we bring you some new images, as well as some good news on their upcoming release. There also appear to be some minor changes from the sample pair shown last Friday. The color scheme remains the same, using the signature White/Grey/Mean Green Dunkman combination that has become so appreciated in recent years, but a few other things have changed. The biggest difference is that the LeBron Dunkman logo now appears on the upper strap, with the LJ23 logo that was originally there now placed on the tongue. Also, the numbers 2 and 3 are placed inside the top eyelet on the left and right sides and the once very translucent outsole is now much more solid. If you want a closer look, get over to House of Hoops tomorrow when they are officially scheduled to drop. Via nikelebron.

LA Gear MVP Air Jordan IV Rip Off

Nowadays, more than ever before, sneakerheads must be very wary of fake sneakers being passed off for big bucks. In the case of the LA Gear MVP, no one will be fooled into thinking they are actually Air Jordan IV’s, but they are close enough that they might as well be selling them out of the back of a Canal Street bodega instead of calling them their own style. In an effort to bottle the nostalgia from their late 80′s/early 90′s hey-day, LA Gear has chosen to adopt some very recognizable attributes of one of the all-time greatest sneaker designs. While many other companies have paid obvious tributes to aspects of some classic Jordan models, the LA Gear MVP flagrantly tries to pass it off as their own.

Both Nike and Reebok have already sued LA Gear for ripping off their designs back in the early 1990′s and it appears that their lawyers should begin prepping for a follow-up. LA Gear, who’s Catapult sneakers were a not-so-subtle version of the Reebok Pump, are no strangers to “improving” on other brands’ success. We know that they are only trying to get some buzz back for their shoes, but sneakerheads in the know will never fall for this weak attempt. If you are not swayed by any of this and are only interested in where you can cop the LA Gear MVP, you can pick up a pair at sportiela and pretend they’re real Air Jordans. Via theshoegame.

Solebox x Puma R698

We have been keeping you up to date on the eagerly awaited Solebox x Puma R698 collaboration and as the release date steadily approaches, more images and information have begun to spring up. A little while ago, we gave you a look at a new red/white/pink colorway, but its time to give some love to the shoe that kicked off the resurgence of the R698. The Solebox edition features a grey suede upper with white mesh sections and black accents. Additional highlights are supplied by some aqua and pink touches that give a nod to the era of their original release, but the most notable feature of the Solebox x Puma R698 looks toward the future. This shoe features light up laces made from plastic-coated wires that blink when you take a step in them. These sneakers were looking pretty good already, but that extra novelty makes them something special. The Solebox edition Puma R698 will finally be available in limited quantities at the Solemart sneaker event that will be held in Berlin on April 18th. Any pairs that are left after the event will go up on the Solebox website for sale, so you better cross your fingers. Via HighSnobiety.
